OK, people have addressed safety issues here, and that is great. I'm from New Jersey, and know how areas of NYC can turn bad in a hurry. But does anyone have any comments on these ports, as far as other people saying they are 'dumps' or 's***holes'? I was surprised to read these comments, because the pictures I've seen look very nice.

I have not been to Nassau but I have been to Labadee (It was actually my very first stop ever in the Caribbean) and I would NOT call it a dump or s***hole. I found it beautiful and relaxing.

This will be my wife and I first cruise. We're on Oasis of the Seas in April. We have Mr Sancho's booked but looks like there will be 8 ships in Port on the day we are there. I heard they pack that place so we're not sure if we want to do that. What do you all suggest? Thank you so much for the responses.

Mr. Sanchos only allows a certain amount of people and usually sells out quickly so if you were able to get a booking I would definitely stick with it.

If you are into snorkeling the Fury catamaran snorkel is a good bang for your buck.

Question 2: After booking realized that in order to get Deluxe drink package everyone over 21 must purchase. My wife does not drink any alcohol or sodas, she only drink water, for real just water; on the other hand my brother and I drink quite a bit of alcohol LOL, since he is staying with my young nephew and he only has to purchase for himself is there anyway that only the two of us can purchase the drink package. Is there a way to change on paper who is staying in which room and move my wife to stay with my nephew that way me and my brother can show the same room and pay for the package. I do not want to pay for 3 when we only Need 2.

This is really not a sticking point at all for RCI. A quick phone call will get allow you to purchase a drink package without your wife having to purchase one. I don't drink at all but my wife gets the drink package everytime, we just call and say I don't drink and they waive it.

    Hi all

my wife is gluten free and has two questions.

    1) Should be inform RCI before we travel that she is GF and if so whom do we inform?

    2) Will she be limited in which restaurants she can enjoy? We have a 3 night Dinner package, will the upcharge restaurants be able to cater for GF?

    thanks

    Martin

My wife is gluten free as well and we have found the wait staff very accommodating on RCI. It does help if you know where you are dining the next night it is possible to ask to see the following nights menu and pre-order, otherwise it can sometimes take a little longer to get your meal. Also of note, the Windjammer on the Oasis had a large gluten free section with a great variety. I'm not sure if they have it on all Oasis class ships but it was not available on Adventure.

Hi Everyone. This Is My Great Idea

Everyone Knows That Mariner And Navigator Do Three And Four Night Bahamas Cruise. Well If You Live Close To A Port Or Go On One Of These Ships A Lot. You Know That They Do The Same Itinerary Week After Week. Well It Got A Great Idea That The Ships Still Do Three And Four Night Cruise But Instead Of Just Doing Just Bahamas Four Night Cruise. Every Once And A Great While They Do These Itinerary.

    1. PORT CANAVERAL

    2. AT SEA

    3. LABBDEE

    4. AT SEA

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. PORT CANAVERAL

    2. AT SEA

    3. COZUMEL

    4.AT SEA

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If You Have Any Other Four Night Ideas Comment Down Below.

I'd love to see some other itineraries as well. I'd love it if they did 2 different itineraries so that B2B short cruises would visit different ports. I'd love to cruise the recently amped up ships but short cruises aren't really worth it to me when I have to fly across the continent to Florida (from Vancouver).

So it’s really worth a travel agent eh?  Is it like I might still pay the same price but get incentives? When I searched for one on the royal site nothing came up in my area.  I really like the ease of booking on my own but if I don’t have to pay agent and you say it’s worth it, maybe I’ll try to find one.  Thanks!

You do not pay a travel agent, their commissions come straight from the cruise lines and they can get you the same prices (often times better) than you can find online.
