My wife and I are sharing a one device plan this week. There are no issues changing devices.
-
The only thing that’s been consistent is the inconsistency.
-
Yes. We have been trying to consistently get notifications of a new message

Food: 30,000 Meals p/d and $1M budget p/w
teddy replied to SteveK's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The hash browns this morning seemed smaller than we remembered, but since the supermarket chain I work for has been having difficulties even sourcing things like hash browns, it’s nice to have them regardless of size. -
Lots of food choices in the pier area. The area is called “The Old Port” and is very walkable. Unfortunately , in October the weather could be anything from sunny, warm, and beautiful to cold, wet, and miserable. Fingers crossed for a beautiful week for you.

Freedom vs Liberty vs Indy - which would you choose?
teddy replied to Ferramc's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I’ve only been on Liberty and Freedom, but based on that, we’d choose Freedom if departure port and itinerary were similar. Playmakers, El Loco Fresh, and the updated pool deck are some of the reasons why. Something to take note of if it’s important to you…Liberty does not have Coca Cola Freestyle machines. -
Day two update: Lock screen notifications have become sporadic.

We have another one booked on anthem for Feb 2024 (the 17th I think) with our middle son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters.
-
And we’re on Anthem right now. We’re really enjoying her. It’s a new class of ship for us, so it’s neat to explore like we’re new again.
-
Yea…I call it the new one, but it’s relative. I remember when the waterfront wasn’t as nice and inviting as it is now.
-
It’ll be either the Maine State Pier or the Ocean Gateway Terminal. Most likely the Ocean Gateway because it’s the new one. They’re close to each other….close enough that it doesn’t matter which you end up at. While it’s the biggest city in Maine, Portland is still pretty small compared with other cities.

We turned on every notification thing we could find (for the Royal app) as well as “Always show previews” in the general notifications settings
-
Yes. Both of had a short vibration when the notification popped up. my phone was in airplane mode but connected to ships WiFi my wife’s phone was in airplane mode and connected to Voom (we bought a one device plan). We both have iPhone 12s.
-
I can’t find the thread about the message app, but my wife and I are getting notifications of new messages on our phones lock screens with one of us on Voom and the other just on ship’s WiFi (not Voom).

We had a 1030-1100 check in time. Got to the port at 1030. Onboard by 1050. No one was inspecting check in times as it really wasn’t necessary. A much nicer experience than boarding in Boston back in October. No one was yelling at people as they went through security The longest wait was actually in traffic leading up to the porters. Security wasn’t bad at all

A steamy 6° here in Harrison, New Jersey, just northeast of Cape Liberty. I say steamy because it’s -27° up home…where power went out last night. Thankfully a coworker went to our house to keep the wood stove going to keep the pipes from freezing. My wife belongs to a Facebook group for the cruise, and said most of the members are from the northeast US and Canada. I think we’re all gonna love going south this week

When we were in Falmouth last September, we found the perfect gift for my coworker who was watching our house and pets. It was a ceramic salt and pepper shaker set that was two pigs in a frisky position. It triggered the detector when we boarded the ship because it showed as rocks. We had to show what it was to the young security agent. She was not impressed but let it come onboard with us.

Anywhere else, and I wouldn’t be anywhere close to qualified for an IT job…..but I might have a chance with them.

Last year at this time we were on Oasis and there was a scale at the top of at least one of the water slides. It was a simple go/no go set up…red or green.

We've had good experiences with Allianz, but we'll definitely be comparison shopping next year. Thank you for the head's up about USAA.
