  1. Do you have traditional dining or My Time Dining? If you have My Time, you will get a table for 2 if you request one. If you have traditional dining, then use these instructions from the Australian RCL website: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/aus/en/faq/questions/can-i-request-a-particular-type-of-table-or-location-for-dining-?country=AUS
  2. They were so small that I tasted, well, nothing. Absolutely nothing.
  3. I've had Bay Scallops. These were about a quarter size of that. And maybe each server would give a different answer, but apparently they had a meeting and all decided to give the same one. Never again, lol.
  4. I thought the food on NCL was fair. The first day I had a scallop appetizer and the scallops were, and I am not exaggerating, smaller than the nail on my pinky finger. The servers were slow and perpetually confused. They also really annoyed me when we were at specialty restaurants and asked to take some of the meal back to the room (dessert - we were very full) and they flat-out refused. So we had a bite or two and they just threw the rest away.
  5. Do you mean how tall you have to be? Because those are two different things I'm tall enough to do the zip line on Oasis, but I don't know if I could get high enough to try.
  6. When my husband and I sail, we buy a 2-device plan under one name. This is cheaper than buying a one-device plan under 2 names. So yes, I could buy a 4-device Voom package. 4 devices would be able to be logged in at the same time. It doesn't matter who is using the devices.
  7. You can request one ahead of time, but your cabin steward will happily bring you one if needed. I cannot remember if they are provided in public restrooms (I suspect yes, but I can't say I've paid close attention). https://www.royalcaribbean.com/resources/guest-special-needs
  8. You probably don't need 5 outlets. Most of your devices only need the charging cord. I take a USB charging block. I can plug 6 USB cords into it. My needs are such that I have one that accommodates regular USB and USB-C cords. You can find one that mirrors your needs. That will take one outlet in the room. My husband will then have the ship provide an extension cord for his CPAP machine, which will take up another outlet (only when he's sleeping, obviously). A European adapter is nice to have to utilize that other one. https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Adapter-Charging-Station-Extension/dp/B0BLR47PK5/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3QMDA0EP0AASG&keywords=usb%2Bpower%2Bhub&qid=1703090035&sprefix=usb%2Bpower%2Caps%2C140&sr=8-4&th=1 Fill out the special needs form before you sail so that they know to have an extension cord (and distilled water, if necessary) for the CPAP. There is not an outlet near the bed. You can fill out the form here: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/resources/guest-special-needs
  9. Yes! It felt like "Please, feel free to gamble in here, if it suits you, but do not have fun."
  10. I was on Harmony two weeks ago. They are small (I get it, you can't make room out of no room). But they had it SO BRIGHT. Why? It drove us out immediately.

  12. And I don't want to shame anyone, but rather just share the facts. I know most people don't mean any harm.
  13. I implore people to reject excursions that allow you to hold wild animals, especially sloths. It is very stressful for the animals (even if you can't outwardly see it). It promotes poaching. I have decades of experience caring for wild animals and have a friend who spent time volunteering at a Sloth Rescue & Rehabilitation Center in Costa Rica (where they are as hands-off as possible). I know they are cute, and the tour guides insist it's fine. It really isn't. https://slothconservation.org/sloth-encounters-the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly/#:~:text=Do they allow hands-on,or petted under any circumstance.
  14. This. This was my favorite new drink on the menus (followed closely by Sea and T)
  15. While it's called the "Unlimited Dining Package", it's not exactly that. It does not work for upcharges in the MDR.
  16. Well, you are getting a discount, so that's been the trade off. But starting sometime early 2024 this will change, and people with dining packages will be able to make reservations before getting on board. So, it'll get better.
  17. I'm looking at a 2025 11-night, roundtrip sailing from Boston to Quebec City. It would be my first Celebrity cruise. Is AquaClass worth the perks? It would be about $2600 more than a regular veranda room. Or is it one of those things where unless it's in The Retreat, it's not worth the extra cost?
  18. All other things being equal, I'd take Freedom. It has Playmakers. Plus...7 days.
