  1. I was on Odyssey in January of 2022 and the service was bad back then, too. I did like the location, though. And, because the ship was at about 60-70% capacity, it was never crowded.
  2. What a treat to be able to "travel along" with you on this spectacular sailing. Thank you for sharing.
  3. We've been there several times on cruises. Victoria is beautiful and very walkable. We enjoy just walking into downtown and enjoying looking at the architecture, and having some lunch or dinner and a drink. There are often very entertaining street performers. There are several small, interesting museums. It may depend on what time you are in port and how long you stay. Butchart Gardens is very popular, and I understand spectacular. We enjoy the downtown so much that we've never ventured up there, though. Last time we took a whale-watching tour. We didn't see any whales, but the islands up there are beautiful and it was a great boat ride anyway.
  4. You would benefit by contacting a good travel agent to help you find appropriate accommodations for your group.
  5. Ha! I also found this to be one of my favorite pieces on Odyssey and we also passed it daily on the way to the suite lounge (agree, pain in the butt location).
  6. I'll do you one better. We actively disliked it. It made no sense, some of the songs were shrill and annoying. If we had been seated in a better place, we would have walked out. We didn't want to be rude, though.
  7. 2 connecting rooms will be your best option. It will probably be less expensive than a suite, and you'll have 2 bathrooms.
  8. No, and I wouldn't expect it to go into effect before the inaugural. They said early 2024, but that was all.
  9. Informal = you may or may not wear a tie with your jacket? lol
  10. Can confirm. And I bucked to peer pressure and booked the 2-day one ahead of it (because I could get the same room). Will I actually do the 2-night? Time will tell.
  11. For some unknown reason, he's following me on Insta. Weird.
  12. Do you have traditional dining or My Time Dining? If you have My Time, you will get a table for 2 if you request one. If you have traditional dining, then use these instructions from the Australian RCL website: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/aus/en/faq/questions/can-i-request-a-particular-type-of-table-or-location-for-dining-?country=AUS
  13. They were so small that I tasted, well, nothing. Absolutely nothing.
  14. I've had Bay Scallops. These were about a quarter size of that. And maybe each server would give a different answer, but apparently they had a meeting and all decided to give the same one. Never again, lol.
  15. I thought the food on NCL was fair. The first day I had a scallop appetizer and the scallops were, and I am not exaggerating, smaller than the nail on my pinky finger. The servers were slow and perpetually confused. They also really annoyed me when we were at specialty restaurants and asked to take some of the meal back to the room (dessert - we were very full) and they flat-out refused. So we had a bite or two and they just threw the rest away.
  16. Do you mean how tall you have to be? Because those are two different things I'm tall enough to do the zip line on Oasis, but I don't know if I could get high enough to try.
  17. When my husband and I sail, we buy a 2-device plan under one name. This is cheaper than buying a one-device plan under 2 names. So yes, I could buy a 4-device Voom package. 4 devices would be able to be logged in at the same time. It doesn't matter who is using the devices.
