  1. As long as I've been sailing (2001) it's been permitted to bring your own hair dryers and curling irons aboard. It still is.
  2. Maybe not right now, but someone may still be looking for the roll call later, so I'll keep it up.
  3. When you get to the port, just check in. Don't tell anyone she's not going to come. They don't require everyone to show up at the same time. They would have probably repriced your cruise if you'd gotten the right (wrong) person on the phone. #alwaysuseatravelagent
  4. I don't know what you mean by rotation, but there is a daily menu with a loose theme. You will be able to find them on the app when you get close to your sailing.
  5. It's identical to regular timed dining. The only difference is that you can choose what time you dine. You can pick the same time every night, or you can change it up daily to suit your schedule. It's best to make reservations ahead of time so you don't have to wait in the stand by line, though.
  6. It's possible that you may not find out until shortly before boarding. You'll probably know before that, but it's not unheard of for someone to not know until a day or two prior to boarding.
  7. They are allowed, very common, and quite popular.
  8. The 18% gratuity that you pay ahead of time is different from the gratuities you pay daily for the room steward and main dining room staff. You may contact your travel agent or Royal Caribbean to pay your daily gratuities before you sail. I always pay them ahead of time because I don't want a bill at the end of my sailing, and also I want to lock in the fees (in the case that they may raise the daily gratuities, you will not be charged the increase if you've paid them up front).
  9. Excursions through Royal Caribbean will be listed in your Cruise Planner. The benefit of booking through Royal Caribbean is that if the excursion is late getting back to the ship, the ship will wait, or they will find a way to catch you up with the ship. If you are on your own, they will not wait. But you may find more appealing (and less crowded) excursions through 3rd party (I like Viator, but there are others). Or you can explore a city on your own. You just have to be very mindful of the all-aboard time.
  10. If you haven't already, consider joining the Facebook page and the Cruise Critic roll call for this sailing. While this site is fantastic, the other sites have better-attended pages for individual sailings.
  11. I would personally not book them that close together. There is too much chance that you won't make the 2nd one.
  12. The Main Dining Room is available all nights of every cruise. The app is often not accurate until shortly before sailing.
  13. @Matt - can we pin this thread?
  14. I don't think that they serve food that late.
  15. I feel like this has literally been every trip between Nassau and Coco Cay.
  16. This made my night. Sorry to the OP that this has drifted. It was just too good!
  17. Maybe, maybe not. It's still funny.
  18. I read the entire post and decided that "Beef Bugs" was my favorite part! Autocorrect is the bomb.
  19. Sorry, but being as this is a fan forum, and isn't affiliated with Royal Caribbean, there is zero chance that you would earn a free cruise someday through here. Making friends, that's totally possible.
  20. Refer to this thread:
  21. They typically don't refresh the rooms. Nor do I believe they will change Mama Mia. I actually loved Allure when I was on it. I booked it when it was originally supposed to have been amplified, but the upgrade got canceled. I still enjoyed the heck out of it!
