  1. And it is the only class of ship that is worth it. I hate the ceramic tile beds facing a wall (on all the other ships). Let me face the ocean like the Radiance class has!!! It's the ONE thing I liked about Norwegian - their ocean-facing spas.
  2. It asks basic questions about how you are feeling. They no longer temp check anyone at the port. There is a medical facility on board with a licensed physician and nurse(s?).
  3. That might be pushing it. If you are scheduled to get into port at 12:30, say it takes 30 minutes to get off the ship. 20-ish-minute walk to the resort. How long do you like to spend at the beach? You'd have a maximum of 3 1/2 hours? I guess the value would be up to you. We paid $55 last time, so that's not bad. If it's gone up significantly, then it may not be. Personally, anything over 3 hours at a beach and I'd lose my bloody mind. Now, 5 hours in a lazy river.....
  4. I'd get a day pass at the British Colonial Hotel (which I've done before) or Margaritaville Beach Resort (which has a lazy river). They are both within walking distance of the pier.
  5. Only your travel agent can do this. Royal won't deal with you directly. I'd encourage her to keep trying, especially once final payment is near or past. Rooms often open up at that point.
  6. I've always had to find mine, but it's not difficult because they will be in a specific area for people on the shore excursion.
  7. Every post-cruise excursion that I've done has worked the same. I put my bags out the night before (or walk them off of the ship) and find the line for the post-cruise excursion. They are then loaded onto the excursion bus, remaining locked up until we get to the airport.
  8. I'm sorry you had such a miserable time. All of my 15 cruises between 2001 and 2024, including on Allure, have been wonderful.
  9. There's no tutorial that I'm aware of. The only thing that I can think of is somehow change your settings to show all posts (both read and unread). I can see all of my read and unread posts, so it has to be a setting.
  10. Weird. I canceled and rebooked something on the app with no issues. Got confirmation emails for both the cancellation and the rebooking.
  11. Yes, you can do that and you don't have to call. You can cancel on the cruise planner and then just repurchase it.
  12. I could chew through that with my nail clipper.
  13. @Goingonaboat - I moved your post to the Roll Call thread, where others who are on the sailing may see it.
  14. One of the problems with this is that if something happens that causes you to have to fly home from a foreign country, you need your passport. People have had to fly home unexpectedly due to family issues, medical issues, issues with the ship that causes people to have to disembark in a foreign country and fly directly home.
  15. I can't wait to move. But I have to wait to move.
  16. You can only do this by calling whoever you booked your cruise through. I call my travel agent and she takes care of it. If you booked through Royal, you'll have to deal with them.
  17. It varies. There are 3 of us. We are volunteers, and all work full-time away from here.
  18. It depends on the type of stateroom. Non-suite staterooms have a shampoo/conditioner/body wash combination in the shower, and typically bar soap for the sink. Most women that I know bring their own shampoo and conditioner, especially if you have long hair. Suites have separate shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, and sometimes other amenities like lotion.
  19. They don't on all ships. They did on Odyssey. It was pretty good, too. And they actually covered it for us with the UDP (January 2022).
  20. I feel like @Matt may have addressed this during the QA portion of one of his recent podcasts (like within the last 3 weeks). I just can't recall exactly what he said about it.
  21. It would be a complete waste of money. Unless everyone wants an internet package and the price per day per person is under $20, I wouldn't bother.
  22. They average anywhere from $150-$350, depending on the type and if it's single or couples. I tried a screenshot of some on my sailings, but it won't let me upload anything.
  23. Yes. But the OP specifically said "entertainment". So that's what I responded to.
  24. Reservations are not taken, or needed, on Radiance-class ships. You can just show up.
