  1. Yet another question: internet is included; is it only for the first two people in the room or for each member on the reservation?
  2. Thank you! I'd have to go to the suite lounge for a drink each time, correct?
  3. We just got upgraded to a Grand Suite as well. I have a couple of questions: 1. Are children allowed in the suite lounge and on the suite sundeck? 2. What time is the complimentary happy hour? Are only beer and wine served during it or can we order other drinks? 3. If more than just beer and wine are served, should we cancel our drink package?
  4. Lanyard for my seapass, beach bag for the pool and shore excursions
  5. You're welcome. I'm actually surprised that I received a response, but glad that I did.
  6. I sent them an email the other day about it and this was the response I received, so hopefully, it's accurate. I scheduled tests for us at Wlagreens just in case.
  7. I worked in the service industry as well, and while I didn't appreciate intrusive questions (drunk middle-aged men are the worst), I did appreciate the times I was talked to not as a bartender or server, but as a human.
  8. Agreed. My family generally doesn't drink soda, so I'd rather not absorb the cost of it.
  9. I totally agree that asking them about their families makes a big difference to crew members. My husband is great at inquiring about others, and on our fist cruise aboard Adventure of the Seas, we got to know our two servers in the MDR. Once of them was from India, and as soon as we told him we enjoyed Indian food and that I used to live in Jackson Heights, Queens (large Indian population), he brought us Indian specialties that the chef made in addition to our regular order every night. It truly does make it a nicer overall experience for us as a family as well as for the crew when you show a genuine interest in their lives. I love asking where they're from, what their favorite port has been, how long they've been working for Royal, how long in their current position, etc. I find many of the crew members at Adventure Ocean have degrees in various studies and it's interesting to talk with them about that and what led them to Royal.
  10. So glad to hear that you used the iHealth proctored tests without an issue. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Awesome- thank you! So even if my daughters' names are specifically on the two emails, it doesn't matter as long as I have proof of vaccination, correct?
  12. Yet another vaccination question. We are set to cruise in two weeks and I just received an email from RCC about my supposedly unvaccinated children taking an antigen test at the port prior to cruising (when we booked the cruise, the COVID vaccine wasn't available for their age group). Now both of my children are fully vaccinated, and the last time I called RCC regarding something else, I told them my children are vaxxed, but they said as long as I have their vax status, it should be fine. I also uploaded their COVID vax cards to the app and will be bringing thier original copies. Do I need to call RCC again regarding this, or should I be fine if I have the documentation? I'm only asking here because I know different cutomer service reps might tell you different things.
  13. Thanks for the tips. I plan on only doing rapid at-home tests (not proctored) until the 13th, when my pre-cruise test is due. My kids just tested negative, thank goodness, so now it's time for quarantining the best I can from them and wearing a mask at home. Should be interesting.
  14. That IS super confusing re: the Binax tests. So I took a rapid test last Saturday and it was negative. Now I feel awful that I may have inadvertently exposed others. And here I thought I was being super-responsible by testing when I only had mild cold symptoms. This is good to know! I will be testing again Sunday night because I want to be able to go back to work on Monday (my boss said if it's negative I can go in). Even if it's positive then, I'll be testing every few days in the hopes that it will be negative by the time of my proctored test.
  15. Thanks for this info. From what I've read, a rapid antigen test is less likely to have a false positive than a PCR. I could have read it incorrectly in my panicky state earlier, though.
  16. Deleted- it was a link to ordering it on a future cruise. I thought you could justorder it from their site and have it shipped.
  17. Thanks for the advice! And I agree that while I wouldn't want anyone to knowingly be contagious while boarding, this will help me with peace of mind when testing, as I know I won't be contagious by then.
  18. My kids and husband are all vaccinated. We have at-home proctored rapid tests scheduled for our cruise. Is the NAAT version better than a rapid test? I've never taken the NAAT and don't know if it's offered near me.
  19. Thank you. This definitely helps me feel a bit less panicked. I have 6 home tests and just ordered some more. I have to test my whole family now. So damn stressful. Thanks, everyone. I appreciate all of the responses.
  20. So I need some input. I started to get a cold last Friday, tested for COVID on Saturday, and it was negative. Saw a friend on Sunday who just told me he tested positive for COVID, so I just took a test this morning and it's positive. I need to test in exactly two weeks before we go on our cruise. It's possible the test might still test positive then, correct? Should I get a certificate of recovery? If so, how do I go about doing that? I'm panicking a bit right now.
  21. I usually book online and then monitor for price adjustments. We did Nextcruise for our 2020 sailing that got canceled, but I was still able to monitor the price after booking and get adjustments when the price went down.
  22. I have the same test scheduled for the same day. They should accept them. If they don't, do they offer tests done at the port?
  23. For any of the games, really. I was on Anthem in 2019 and participated in Name That Tune. I thought it was going to be some little trivia game in one of the bars, but it was a big production on the thater stage with singers and dancers. I ended up winning and received RC gear: a thin, flimsy backpack (we used it a couple of times before it ripped at the seams and we had to throw it out), highlighter, pen, luggage zipper pulls, and plastic water bottle. Even something like $25 in onboard credit or towards a future cruise would have been much more preferable.
  24. I have an iPhone. Do you have to pay for a Thunkable account?
