  1. Thanks. I'll check and see if the places on the french side that we are going will also take US dollars....
  2. Hello, Do both sides of St. Maarten/St. Martin deal in US Dollars? Just trying to figure out if we need different types of cash.... Or can I use cards?
  3. Ironically tequila is the ONLY thing I am familiar with... big Margarita drinkers in our family. I would agree (Repasado and Anejo) except for Milagro Silver which is my favorite silver tequila... I don't even like Patron... If you haven't had it... def recommend it. A lot of the time you can get a set of the silver, repasado and anejo together for a decent price...
  4. This is why we are excited about having it. Neither of us (me or the BF) are super familiar with different types of booze and what we like/don't like. We didn't get the drink package last time and I only had 1 drink the entire cruise. He took advantage of the $1 mimosa's in the casino one day. I'm definitely excited about trying some new drinks aka Labadoozie, Lava Flow, etc. For me after doing the math I definitely think it'll be worth it. I drink about 6-8 16oz bottles of water when we are out in the sun so that'll help for port days. I also like iced Latte's in the morning and the coffee in the WJ doesn't do it for me, I def will also have mimosa's or poinsettia's with breakfast also... VERY excited. I love the idea of the "tastings" that would def be up our alley...
  5. I've contemplated getting those. Do you find that it is hard to dry them and get all the soap out?
  6. I think these are the ones I'm getting... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TVK5XPB/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3FG41ION9N52F&psc=1
  7. Same definitely bring your own! I recommend the collaspible ones that you come in a case. Pretty inexpensive on Amazon
  8. Has anyone either done parasailing or horseback riding in St. Thomas?
  9. @Lovetocruise2002 hope your going to get off for a pina colada and mofungo at least!
  10. Oh yes I know... I don't get it very often... My favorite restaurant/winery has a gnocchi carbonara and that's like double heavy... but its so delicious...

  12. That pasta has me drooling... Carbonara is my favorite thing ever.... need carbonara....
  13. This refurb seems oddly similar to Adventure of the Seas refurb... interesting that Nav and Mariner got such exquisite upgrades and Adventure and Voyager not as much...
  14. Interesting to see that RCL did have one ship that didn't pass... quite a few issues with Potable water tank which concerns me... I'm not interested in sailing on that exact ship so doesn't bother me as much but yikes
  15. hahah I guess I love it too, the unpacking part is the not so fun part. I don't have enough room to dedicate a specific shelf so I just move stuff to the front of the closet as we get closer to packing for real.
  16. I'ld be curious to see if the Fast Track Boarding changes throughout the cruise, it seems like maybe it was a initial running mishap? I've only ever had to wait in line to get on the ship once and it moved pretty quickly so i don't know if it would entice me to get the Key though (however that carry-on valet may)
  17. Thanks! Yea we've never done speciality dining but I'm only planning on bringing 3 dresses total. One night we probably won't make our MDR time so its okay. I love the idea of washing the clothes out in the sink with the gel. I might just do that...
  18. haha yea, This will be our first flight to a cruise even though its in the same state and we could've driven it. Someone suggested it to me which is a pretty good idea. I figured I'ld also pack an outfit each in our carry on...just in case...
  19. oh yea no definitely get there as early as possible. I recommend as early as 10am.
  20. I definitely recommend getting there before the 12:30 check in time, since it is only a suggestion. We had a 1:30 check in time and was on board by 11:10.... Definitely get there EARLY! What ship are you sailing on, that will help us help you? Obviously, Food and drinks are available, if you bring your swimsuit you can use the pools and hot tubs... I find there are quite a few tours as well.
