We usually have luck at the Central Park restaurants. Pop in to each and see if there's a line and go with the shorter one. Head there first to make reservations.

Yes, you can make all of your specialty dining reservations at any specialty restaurant or at the restaurant kiosk that they will probably have set up in the Promenade.  Of course, the problem is, not all of the restaurants will be open when you first board, so you just have to find one that is open or use the kiosk.  The last time I was on Oasis, Chops was not open for lunch on embarkation day but we went to Jamie's or Giovanni's or whatever one they have (can't remember).  It is often easiest to write it all down and then just hand the paper to the maitre'd while you are having lunch (if you have the UDP).
It has been my experience that the MDR maitre'd cannot make specialty restaurant reservations and vice versa so unless things have changed, you will need to go to the MDR host to make MDR reservations.

labdogs42 got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in How to find the right Travel Agent for us
There is a certification available for agents through IBCCES that trains agents in assisting clients with autism and special needs.  You can check their website for a list of certified agents.  Of course, that doesn't guarantee the agent has personal experience, but it is one more level of training that you could look for.  you might want to try asking around on Message boards dedicated to the special needs community to see if anyone there has an agent they have worked with that did a good job.  As an agent, I know about the programs for autistic and special needs families, but I don't have direct experience using those programs.  if you want someone who knows it on a personal level, you'll definitely have to do some interviewing or get referrals from other families that have similar needs.
The world is becoming much more in tune with special needs travelers, I'm sure you will be able to enjoy a wonderful vacation on Royal with your family!

This is why I just booked a Thrill cabana for my Feb 2021 cruise(yes they are available for booking already, crazy right). I got it for $499 for up to 6 guests and includes waterpark tickets. Well I have a family of 5 and the park tickets are being sold for $79/person which would put us at $395. $104 to have a cabana for the day sounds like a great deal to me. If you wanna be exact with the deal, you get 6 free waters included too and we aren't drink package people.  Can't remember what bottled water costs, but lets call that a bonus of $20 ?
