jacquihl
We went on Oasis as few years ago and one night we had a deck party which was 'White Night'. We are going on Allure in October, and I'm trying to find out if they have any themed night at all? I know about formal night but any tips would be appreciated. Thanks
WAAAYTOOO
There is usually a 70's Disco night. I have also heard of the "white" night but I think that is a hit-or-miss kind of thing and is probably boat-specific. I think many of the ships have their own kind of specialty nights but they usually aren't well published. Makes it hard to plan, doesn't it ? Matt
They had a white night, 70's party and another party or two on Freedom
jticarruthers
I recall a 70s night, but don't recall what other theme nights they might have had. It would seem that if you are going to have theme nights it would be nice to send out an email to the guests and let them know so they can pack appropriately. All the emails on buying drinks, dinners, excursions, spa treatments, you would think it would be easy to slip in a "here is your entertainment schedule with the theme and MDR menu for each night". I am beginning to think they don't necessarily care if all guests are dressed up or not. These parties are more about excuses to come out and have a good time (and spend some money). jacquihl
It seems ridiculous that they are so secretive about it. It may be because some people might be put off if they think there's some kind of theme night as they don't like to participate. We're totally opposite lol! If there's fancy dress or theme, we want to be in it, and would like to know before we go so that we can pack accordingly. I might try to email them but, I know from other responses, I doubt they'll be forthcoming with the information.
jticarruthers
I agree that they don't really care, you can show up to white night not wearing white for example and its no big deal, just seems like it would be a bigger/more entertaining thing if you knew ahead of time. I know what you're saying (and I tend to agree) but they aren't trying to be secretive. What they are doing is trying to avoid creating wrong expectations. Imagine if they advertise 70's night for months before your cruise and for some reason they can't hold the 70s party. It's unlikely but the nature of these onboard events are always subject to change and I think they don't post events they aren't certain will happen just to make sure folks aren't disappointed.
