jlynn222
Do you have to take a water taxi from the port to get to Alantis?
JasonD
I've gotten there a few different ways... I've taken the water taxi, walked, and taken scooters..
michelle
Water Taxi is an idea - cabs are about $4-5 per person so you have options for this for sure
Matt
Many years ago we took a bus as part of a group excursion.
jlynn222
We booked the comfort inn for our family of 4 to get the free waterpark passes..so we were trying to figure out the best way to get there
DocLC
Taxi will be best to get to the Comfort Suites as its still a walk from where the water taxi will drop you off. I've stayed there a couple of times and this will be the most efficient way. It won't be the most cost effective, but keep in mind that your time is limited. OK thank you..I got the room for 394.00 to save money on water park tickets but someone told me they tack on a bunch of fees so I need to figure up if it would be worth it.. DocLC
They do tack on fees, probably $40 or more. There' a mandatory maid fee, energy fee, etc. per adult, so it does add up. Definitely double check as there might not be much savings going this route.
jlynn222
Do they charge for the kids?
DocLC
They didn't use to charge the fees for kids, just adults. However, I just went through a dummy booking and it looks like every person is charged the fees now. Thus, you're looking at roughly $21 per person in addition to the room rate and sales tax. jlynn222
OK thanks..what's funny is I asked them on the phone if they have any hidden fees and they told me no..I heard though if you book with royal they take you on a tour and you don't get there until noon or after
jlynn222
Maybe I can take advantage of their breakfast and make up for it..lol..or if I check out as soon as I check in they may waive the cleaning fees
DocLC
It's possible that the rate they quoted you included the fees. Call back and double check. At the rate you stated, it's very likely that the fees have been included in the total price. You'd have to eat a lot of their mediocre breakfast to make up for the added charges. ;) BTW, make sure you have a credit card for Atlantis. Most of the dining venues don't accept cash. In addition, the cheapest places to eat are by the docks or the coral and Beach club towers on the beach, but that's farther away from the main water park. jlynn222
OK thank you..I hope it's all included..I probably won't be able to get my kids to eat anyway until the waterpark closes
