GrandmaLisa
Any suggestions and where to put your personal items when out on an excursion, like snorkeling or jet ski? Like your phone or wallet? We will be on the island of CocoCay and need these items for pictures and to make purchases? Thank you in advance for any suggestions. Guest toodle68
It depends on the excursion.. but when we go on something like the jet skis, we use a water proof phone cover. We do not take wallets, so just slot in our seapass card and credit card if needed. For CocoCay, you only need your seapass card. http://amzn.to/2FT7jDE
twangster
Welcome to the message boards! No need for wallet on CocoCay - it's a private island with only ship guests and RCI employees. You can bring some cash for the market there. I usually use a small backpack that I leave under my towel. I've never had an issue but there are ways to lock a backpack to a lounger or even vaults that lock to a chair. One such product is AquaVault: https://theaquavault.com/ I don't own one but I've seen reference to them on other forums.
Guest toodle68
For a beach type excursion when we are not right next to the water or it is crowded, we sometimes use this.. https://loctote.com/ It stops those quick pick attempts. For any UK cruisers interested in the item mentioned above, this is the best price i have found for it http://www.parasolstore.co.uk/product-category/brands/aquavault/
DunkelBierJay
There are lockers at Labadee and Coco Cay. I believe they are $8 to use.
LetsTryThisPlace
I also found a cheaper version on Amazon for around $30-$40 and is water resistant so if near the pool it can get splashed on. I'm also getting a cable I can use to attach it to a beach chair to help deter people from taking your things. I have multiple cameras and my phone with me on most trips (need to get the best photos/videos), so I'll be getting something for sure.
