SparkyPrep
The wife and I are planning an 8 night cruise on Oasis of the Seas in August 2025 to Aruba. We are both smokers. Does anyone have any insight into the location and amount of smoking sections on this ship? Are there that are near a bar with semi-table service? We are avid cruisers, and just got off a cruise with NCL, and will NEVER go back. It only had one smoking section, in a glass box, off the pool deck. This is a deal-breaker for us. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
AshleyDillo
Smoking is be allowed on one side of the pool deck and in the casino. The pool deck is open and not in a box like NCL.
SparkyPrep
Thanks. Not sure why this info isn't available on RC's website. For smokers, it would help us plan our vacation, and for non-smokers, it would help with their cabin selection. Fastfaller
I was just reading on symphony is it deck 15 port side and deck 5 starboard as well as the casino. I assume Oasis is similar. I smoke a pipe and was trying to figure out if that is even allowed.
Geezer Of The Seas
If Oasis shares the same layout as Wonder, the main smoking area is the pool deck, starboard side, extends from about the pool bar to just outside the entrance to the Windjammer. There is also a smoking area (just a couple benches and ashtrays Deck 4 (?) port side, aft. Biggest challenge as a pipe smoker may be emptying your pipe bowl when finished. The ashtrays are rather small and have a top with a spring loaded disc ( or at least it's self closing) that would require you either hold the disc open with something or remove the top and replace it. I smoke a cigar or two on a cruise; believe me the ashtrays were built for cigarettes in mind and nothing else.

To be safe I will probably be bringing a glass of water to empty the ash into. It might be frowned upon, but it is certainly better than creating a fire hazard. ScottD
It is a pretty large area along the port side, it starts right at the Lime and Coconut bar and goes to the entrance of the Solarium. So you can literally sit almost right across from the bar, plenty of tables as well. Circled it for you...
The Fox
We have been on Oasis twice now and this is what we look for also. Nothing on deck 5. The pool diagram above is the only place besides the casino. Sometimes on embarkation day they will close the smoking area while refueling. I have seen it moved to deck 16 right by the Lime and Coconut, and also deck 16 in the Solarium Bar.
