togo
Does anyone know if you can add the trade in value from the annual tier club royal comp cruise to an existing reservation before the 90 day final payment window?
Ampurp85
You used to be able to. You could apply it to an already booked cruise but I tried this year for a cruise and was told they no longer do it. However ymmv, it doesn't hurt too bad to call and ask.
Pattycruise
Answers from club royale are consistently inconsistent. I’ve been told they can only be used for new bookings or if I wanted to do this they would have to reprice the cruise to today’s rate-then apply the discount. (Isn’t that a new cruise!-well technically it’s not but may as well be!)
togo
You got that right. I went ahead and booked one with a next cruise certificate and when I looked at the paperwork later, I noticed a deposit due amount of $700 due a week from now. I thought the whole idea of next cruise was to use less risk with a $200 deposit. Anyways, I called and first person said since its a 12 nite cruise, it needs more deposit. Second person said don't worry about it, it just showed up because the booking may have gone thru a different number. Very confusing. I got a good deal I don't want to lose but also don't want to plop down another $700 if that is the case. Guess I will call back again and try for a better answer. togo
My original question was answered assertively though, that as long as I am before that 90 day window, then I may apply that $500 trade in value from the upcoming annual tier cruise comp. I just ended up with a different situation now with the whole deposit thing
