Jason.H.
Rent a bicycle and tour the town. Sloppy joe's bar has good bar food and is a cool place. There is one main public beach that has sand and there is a small restaurant right there on the beach called SALUTE! it was really good food and you can sit outside under a covering with your feet in the sand. mbk999
I second the bike idea. There's also a lot to do within walking distance. Bars, shops, museums... El Siboney Restaurant has good Cuban food, it's a few blocks off Duval.
ABFrenchie
Lunch and cocktails on the Ocean Key Resort Pier near Mallory Square. Food is fantastic (I'm biased, I was married there!)
monorailmedic
Check out my live blog from our Empress sailing in May. We found a couple good places in Key West. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/05/22/empress-of-the-seas-live-blog-day-2-key-west
