kt0903
Hey guys, my girlfriend just showed me the certified copy of the birth certificate she has and the seal is faded to where you almost can't see it. We leave out of Miami port and won't be able to get another copy in time being that we live in florida and she was born in conneticut. Are we going to be denied boarding? I'm freaking out seeing that we paid close to 3k for the trip
SpeedNoodles
Is it just stamped, or is it also embossed?
Ryan79
If she has a raised stamp on it, she will probably be OK. If not, no one here can tell you if you will be denied boarding or not if there is no raised stamp and the ink stamp is faded. That is a call for the agent at the gate. I would still try and get a copy regardless because she WILL need that at some point. Many jurisdictions have expedited process and shipping options. I got mine in about 7-10 days. smokeybandit
You don't need a raised seal anymore. I bet you'd be OK. But for peace of mind see if you can get a replacement. mscinmia
