My first transatlantic cruise!
My first cruise longer than 7 nights.
My first cruise that departs from a foreign country.
And my first Quantum class ship.

Lots of firsts on this one!

One of these days I'll do my first suite.

If someone is going to blog on this I will be following.  I am actually booked on the return to Rome TransAtlantic from Bayonne but a few different stops for us!  So I will be looking for some tips on things to do all those days at sea!
Have a great time.

Updated:   I reread this thread this morning and hope I’ll be reading all about it on the Live Blog page!  I’m not on any social media apps or forums…this blog is it!  I just noticed this cruise begins on my 45th anniversary with hubby - perhaps 🤔 I should have booked this one?  But I am really looking forward to my Spring cruise on this ship when it heads back to Rome!  Our plans are in full swing…so getting excited 😜!

Hello All…With about 82 days and counting til my family and I leave for our Cruise, just wondering if anyone has gone on this cruise and has any tips…

Any must see…Shows, Activities, Teen Activities and Kid’s Activities

Any Must try Speciality Restaurants or Theme Nights (I know there are 3 Formal Nights, but would like to be prepare for any other Theme Nights)

The best Sea Sickness patches or bracelets (would prefer to stay away from Meds)

This will be our 5th cruise (3rd with Royal Caribbean) but haven’t been on this ship

Will be on Odyssey this November for our Transatlantic and was wondering if anyone has first-hand knowledge if the Fitness Center has a locker room, maybe with a sauna/steam room. I see there a Thermal Spa for $200 each.

I thought I would repost here too

Anxiously awaiting our GTY assignment.  Has anyone else received theirs yet?  First time trying GTY (and our first TA!).  Nervous we'll get deck 6 balcony overlooking the not-so-appealing yellow boats 😩

Check now, as we just got our cabin assigned. And yes we got deck 6 Port side near the aft elevators. Just put in a min RU bid. we'll see what happens

Hi Scott.  We did end up getting our assignment last night and unfortunately it was bad news.  All yellow boat in front of our balcony 😞  Been on the phone twice already with RC but no better option available right now.  We would even be happy with 25% obstruction, but there's nothing to work with.  They did say we can keep checking with them as the cabin situation constantly changes.  And we have increased our Royal Up options to see if we get lucky that way.  If I didn't enjoy reading so much on my balcony and also watching the ocean, then we would just roll with it.  But that is how I relax after working so many months to afford the cruise!   Keeping faith it will all work out.  Thanks for the heads up!

Hello!  If anyone on this current cruise is reading this post…how has your Atlantic crossing been the last few days?  Right now on cruisemapper it looks like Odyssey is in some very rough waters…so I am wondering how the ship is handling this.
I hope someone is reading and can let me know as I am on next year’s crossing!

Thanks

Here is what i posted earlier today on Facebook:

Captain has informed us that Odyssey has passed through the front that gave us 6-7m waves and 50kt winds.

While in the windjammer we had several times where the ship listed and carts rolls free and trays of water glasses slid to the floor.

During breakfast in the MDR on deck 3 there were a few occurrences where the waves were hitting the ship over the windows. Some of the bottles in the pub took a dive too.

Captain says we’re all real sailors now.

Yup…sounds like true sailors to me, too!  😜
