General tips from a recent sailing

Hi,

I just returned from an Oasis of the Seas cruise to the Caribbean.  Thanks to Matt, his YouTube videos and this site for helping me prepare.  I learned a few things on my trip that I wanted to share, especially for those looking for a quieter experience

  • Main dining 3rd floor (my time dining) has a with and without reservations line.  Don’t get stuck in the wrong line
  • Ice show and aqua 80 have a with and without reservations one- don’t get caught waiting in the wrong line
  • There’s always the standby line for activities. Even if you don’t have reservations it’s worth getting in the without reservations line to see if you can get on.  My husband was able to go ice skating the last day, even though there was no availability on the app.
  • Look for the pirate piano player on the elevator
  • If you go to Windjammer for dinner, walk about to the front of the ship or the side where they’re not serving food - it's much quieter and empty
  • Solarium offers the same buffet as Windjammer but it's smaller and quieter.  And, its in the adults only section of the ship so there shouldn’t be many kids.

Happy Sailing!
