Va4fam
We will be in Houston in January and tempted to book a cruise on Allure. Is it chilly that time of year in Southeast Texas and Mexico? How long does it take to travel from downtown Houston on a Sunday afternoon to the Royal cruise terminal in Galveston? I think all aboard is 4 pm. After the cruise, flying out of IAH, how long does that typically take?
BMW Hoosier
Average high in Houston is in the low 60s in Janaury and average low is in the low 40s and there is significant standard deviation. Va4fam
memebag
My advice is to use the Waze app. Tell it when you want to arrive and it will tell you when to leave. Just do it for next Sunday at 4pm to get a ballpark idea.
DoomSlayer
I’ve personally experienced snow in Galveston in January - although it’s rare. All I can say is always expect the unexpected when traveling and you will be fine. Houston is big, it can take an hour just to drive across the city. I would map it out if you want a specific answer, but from downtown near the stadium, it is normally about an hour with no traffic, and about an hour and a half from the north side of Houston if you take the tolls. One accident our a Sunday game and your time could double. Va4fam
