Td6462 Posted November 2, 2022 Report Share Posted November 2, 2022 After 3 frustrating days of horrible internet on Voyager we were really hoping the coco cay network would be so much better. WRONG! It appears they have transitioned the island network to be a repeater network from the ship you are on. We are in port with Liberty (starlink active). I did a speed test next to a couple with surf & stream from Liberty. They are getting 35mbps down and 8 up. I am getting .5mbps down an .12 up with surf & stream on Voyager. I spoke to the revenue manager from Liberty as he was passing by and he confirmed the transition at Coco Cay to a repeater network for guests. He said it was switched shortly after starlink was installed on island. The staff and island facilities have starlink but guests are strapped to the ship they are on and that ships internet capabilities.
