Theme Nights

Look through the cruise compass section of this website and find one from your ship and correct number of nights.  It should be pretty accurate.  Theme nights can vary based on different cruise directors, location of sailing and number of nights.

On a 7 day cruise there will typically be 2 formal/dress your best nights and 1 tropical night if you are in the Caribbean.  These are suggestions only and you will see a lot of people wearing whatever they want.  Nice casual is always a safe choice for any night.

A lot of ships also will have a 70's disco party that some do dress up for.

In addition to the formal/dress your best nights, our last cruise had the tropical night @wordell1 mentions as well as a dress in all white night. Lots of people participate, lots don't. It's your vacation - do what works for you and have a blast!

There might also be a white night.  Honestly, if you pack a couple of nice slacks and shirts (for men), you will be fine regardless of any themes.  I pack a couple of tropical shirts because, well, I'm on vacation.  I also pack a sport coat (may wear it Day 1) and a tie, but a growing minority is more casual on formal night.  For some people clothes are utilitarian, while for others dress is an expression of emotions and passions.  You'll see many styles onboard, and all are accepted.

You might also check the app.

Under tips and tricks, it will tell you many things including how dressed up you should be.

Also, under dining you can select either the main dining room or Windjammer and then look at the menu. Each day will be listed across the bottom.  The mdr will have the full menu, including kids and vegetarian choices. The Windjammer will have the theme like tex-mex or Asian.

Alas, different sailings have different release dates for this information so YMMV.
