mallard9310
I know that the crew will take any liquor bought at port and return it at the end of the cruise, but will the same be done with beer? My upcoming cruise has a port with an interesting brewery and I would like to bring home some of their specialty brews, but can't find anything saying if they would hold the beer until the end of the cruise. UnregisteredGuest
I bought 2-4 cans of beer in every port two weeks ago on our Baltic cruise and security never said anything. But they did however take my bottle of Jägermeister that I also bought in port so they do check for booze. I guess as long as you don't buy a large pack of 24 beers or something you will be fine.. Cruisin and Boozin
Yes they hold the beer for you. We bought beer in a brewery in St Maarten in April and they had no problem holding 7 cases. Pattycruise and WAAAYTOOO 1

We were on an extended family Christmas trip a few years back and I bought two sixpacks of Red Stripe at a Caribbean port. It was cheap enough that I reasoned if they took it, it would be no big deal. The crew just sent it though the scanner and I took it to my room. So, that amount got thru, not sure they would have let me bring on much more.
CrznTxn
It is hit or miss depending on the crew at the time. We have had them point out the alcohol on some trips and on others not say a word and let you go to the "hold" table to turn it in.
