rtread
We have an October 25 cruise coming up on Liberty. It looks like it will be on the Covid 19 chopping block, I held out hope but hope is diminishing fast. A couple of questions on what to expect.... First, at what point in relation to the cruise date will RCL make the decision and announce the cancellation? Second, my wife booked this cruise with the help of the "Casino Free" deal. What can we expect as far as cancellation refunds or future cruise vouchers? Thanks for your replies!
Sab0
You just have to call Casino Royal (you do not have to wait for cancellation notice) ( have you free cruise certificate ready what you used for your Oct 25 booking) and ask them to cancel this upcoming cruise and book a future one with the the same certificate (it doesn't matter if your certificate expired by now). The only guideline they have, that the new cruise of your choice has to be a year from now. Time frame is 30 days before and 30 days after your current cruise date. In your case you have to find a cruise between Sept 25 2021 - Nov 25 2021. I did this with every cruises we had this year (all casino offers), and I am still working on moving a couple from end of this year. I have moved two cruises this afternoon, Oct 24th Rhapsody 7 night Greece and Nov 2nd Jewel 12 nigh Holy Land. We are based in Florida, "Coronavirus Capital of the World". I don't see us cruising this year. We were full time cruisers before Covid. I agree with the other post, you have to talk to the right customer service representative. If you sense a little "attitude" ,,,just hang up and call back. That goes for all reservations even prior Covid. Some of them provide excellent customer service, some of them just don't want to help with anything.
Ampurp85
I was booked on that same cruise but I L&S before final payment because I had people in my party that refused to cruise. Also because my company won't allow traveling, even before things got worse with COVID. RCG only cancels when it is paramount, so they may not cancel if they start in late September or October. I think Liberty will be going in late October but the itinerary will differ...plus other changes. Liberty would be a decent size ship to run but if you don't feel comfortable then call the casino cruise comp line and have them move your comp to a later cruise. @WAAAYTOOO has plenty of information about casino comps, I think she even created a thread.
