SSprouse Posted January 19, 2020 Report Posted January 19, 2020 We will be a party of 7, 5 adults (3 grandparents) 2 kids (10 & 12) and we will have our minivan. In terms of ease of boarding & disembarking which is easier, taking an Uber from a hotel with free parking or parking at the port? Cruise will be 5 days. Quote
GregD Posted January 19, 2020 Report Posted January 19, 2020 Uber XL is for groups up to 6, so you would have to do two separate Uber trips. In the long run it may be easier to just use your own vehicle to park at the port and deal with the parking charge. if you truly want to avoid parking at the port, you could use your vehicle, drop everyone and luggage at the port and return to the hotel. Park the car for free and then a Uber for 1 back to the port. Do this in reverse on disembarkation day when you leave. Drawback here is dealing with the crowds on disembarkation day, but will be cheaper. Quote
tonyfsu21 Posted January 19, 2020 Report Posted January 19, 2020 It’s easiest to park at the port. No if, ands or buts. It costs more money but if that does not concern you then park at the port. Quote

Allen2 Posted January 20, 2020 Report Posted January 20, 2020 Added thought: depending on number of ships in port, Uber, taxis, and shuttles get overwhelmed in FLL. Agree totally with parking at port! SSprouse 1 Quote
