johnjr
Can someone help me with this? I've been told a couple different answers to this question the 2 times I called Royal Caribbean. Is it true my 18 year old can travel with a picture id card from DMV and a birth certificate and my 12 year old with a birth certificate? It's a closed loop cruise. I waited to long, kinda late to get passport. Thank you in advance.

Royal hasn't implemented accepting the Real ID in lieu of the birth certificate. The 12 year old only needs the birth certificate. @johnjrThere's the answer from Wednesday earlier this week if that helps.

Thanks for your answer again, just trying to get as many responses as I can to be sure. Why are you assuming the 18 year old is a girl? MikeK
Make sure the birth certificates are certified copies not like a scanned copy. That is important!
melski94
I personally would take the birth certificate. Not hard to pack. I would rather have it and not need it than be denied boarding for not having it.
