Do you have to pay when you book a drink package?

Thanks

Could you elaborate on this?

You do have to pay for a drink package when you book.

I'm currently hunting for DDP sales and staying vigilant.

All cruise planner purchases (drink or dining packages, excursions, etc) must be paid for at time of purchase.  Of course, if you put it on a credit card, Royal gets paid immediately and you pay your credit card however you like.  (But don't pay credit card interest on a drink package, you'll negate the savings!)

Unless you plan on having 4 or 5 drinks a day save your money.  You will be glad you did.  And money ahead.

Based of my personally drinking habit *especially on vacation* I think the drink package will definitely save me some money!

I hypothetically planned out my day from morning with a few mimosas, afternoon in the sun with some fruit mixed drinks, dinner with a glass of wine or two, and late night with some hard liquor!

Sprinkle in some water bottles, coffee, and juices here and there daily and you'll be ahead of the game.
