FLGooner
Sailing on Brilliance on June 28 and hoping all the Alaska experts on here can help. Any recommendations for an excursion when we dock at Ketchikan?? Appreciate any advise as we already have whale watching, helicopters and trains booked for other ports. twangster
My first stop there I went to Misty Fjords National Monument. I went by boat which was pretty great but the next time there I might do a float plane to Misty Fjords. My second stop there I did the Bering Sea Crab Fishermen Experience (based on the TV show Deadliest Catch) . Blogged about it here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/9160-not-so-live-blog-radiance-of-the-seas-alaska-southbound-83118/&do=findComment&comment=83918 Baked Alaska and SpeedNoodles
SpeedNoodles
We went kayaking in Ketchikan the first time we were there - it was so nice - and we nearly had salmon jumping into our kayak! Do something, though, because the town itself is dull as paint. Baked Alaska
twangster
Make sure you leave time to check out the Creek Street Mall. Ketchikan also has Totem Bight State Historical Park if you are interested in a more cultural and historic experience over a ship excursion outing. arebee
We did an excursion to George Inlet Lodge for all you can eat crab. This was on Holland America so not sure if RC has it too. And I mean ALL YOU CAN EAT!!!
