stevendom57
When I checked into my cabin on the Mariner my room steward gave me a card with his phone number on it, in case I needed something. Now, of course he is not on duty 24/7 while I am on the ship. What are typically the hours where it is acceptable to call him and request something? Do room stewards have a backup in case something is really needed during his off hours? Steven
tiny260
They are usually on duty cleaning rooms in the morning time and then in the evening time when you go to dinner, sometimes they have time off during the middle of the day or they are assigned other duties. Just ask their availability, otherwise on the room phone you should have a housekeeping button to call if you cannot get a hold of the steward. stevendom57
I hope they would just ignore my call if they are off duty. I don't want to interrupt their off-duty time by mistakenly calling them at the wrong time. I want to respect their down time.
twangster
When I call I sometimes reach someone other than my cabin attendant. I simply tell them what I what and they either find someone or let my attendant know when they come back on duty. Based on this I assume they forward their phones to a deck supervisor or other designated person while off duty. tiny260
