I drink a lot of coffee in the morning but don't want to spend the extra money for the beverage packages. I don't need special coffees. 1 - If I order room service for the complimentary continental breakfast, can they bring me a pot of coffee instead of a couple of cups worth? What other areas of the ship can I get coffee for free? Windjammer and MDR, I'm guessing. 2- Also what foods are included in the continental ?

It says continental breakfast is free while American breakfast includes a room service charge. If we order the continental breakfast with a couple mimosas ( we DO have the drink oackage) will we be charged a fee. Or is it included since we have the DX?

Hi all, just wondering whats included/free with room service? I highly doubt we would use it but was just wondering. We are in an inside cabin if that matters. I also assume there will be a tray charge? Thanks, nikkoo

Hey all - first post here! Excited to read everything - we're headed out on Independence in March. (Have been on several cruises before and Royal Caribbean twice - how did I not find this blog before?!) My parents are on the cruise, too, and they were looking forward to having pizza on their balcony for dinner one night. They really like thin crust pizza. Is it possible to order this through room service or Sorrento's? (I read the post about the quality of pizza - I'm hoping it is better! We had some a couple of years ago on Mariner and it was edible but nothing terrific!) Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hello, It has been a couple years since our last cruise. Just booked for spring break and looking thru information on dining and it appears room service now charges $7.95 no matter when you order. Is that correct? Last cruise, there was only a charge AFTER midnight. Any current information is appreciated. I am a planner!!!!

I just pulled this from another site. Have not yet seen a press release: As of March 2017, RCCL has begun charging 7.95 for each Room Service order. This charge will become fleet wide by the end of May 2017. A continental, cold breakfast, of pastries and the like, is still free. A hot breakfast of any kind, such as eggs, meats, etc., will require payment. NEW "UPSCALE" ROOM SERVICE MENUS are the catalyst for this charge, according to the RCCL website. We compared the new menu to menus we saved from our 2015 and 2016 cruises, and this new menu is not much different that the last one. In fact, some favorites, such as the honey-stung chicken, are gone. It is still mostly a 'snacking' menu, with only one or two true entrees.

My wife and I have decided that on a couple of evenings it would be nice have dinner in the room on the balcony watching the sun go down. Can anyone tell me if this is a good experience or even though the RC website says you can order anything from the MDR menu at certain times are you actually limited.
