  1. I am on this sailing with my mom and a good friend of ours. So looking forward to sailing!
  2. Hello Everyone, just received this email. :) I thought that I would share this email as it outlines suite benefits for the Explorer of the Seas with the hopes that it may benefit someone else that has questions related to this ship. I am counting the minutes, Kiki :).
  3. Good morning everyone! As the title says, we will be doing a side by side sailing coming up a week from Monday out of Miami. As long as data/wi-fi/VOOM cooperates I will try to post as live as I can. I'll put some of the background and details below, and will also be commenting on our before/after plans as well so feel free to skip past all that if it's not your thing. Forewarning this first post will be a long one. I was back and forth on doing a blog, but I know I really appreciate reading them to get me by until my next sailing. As we go throughout the trip, feel free to ask questions
  4. Having already spent 345m (indy, nav & mar) and announced 427m (voy, oasis & allure) will royal scale down the amp on the remaining ships? I know adventure already received some of the upgrades in 2016 (water slides, splash away bay & new staterooms) so they may spend a lot less on her. I was expecting explorer to get the 100m refresh (sailing her in 9/2020). Now I'm hoping she gets it.
  5. Hi all, I was on a recent explorer of the sea cruise and purchased the USB photo package. Unfortunately I lost the USB and I'm devastated as these were the nicest photos my partner and I of 10 ten years have ever taken together. As it's the holidays I haven't been able to get any help from RCI about getting the photos again. Does anyone know if it's possible to get the photos again after the cruise ? Appreciate any advise. Thanks Sarah
  6. Hello Fellow Cruisers, I've purchased the refreshment drinks package for my coming trip on Explorer of the Seas and noted in the fine print that: "*All Beverage Packages exclude any beverages served inside licensed StarbucksĀ® stores.". So in an effort to find out more, I found Matt Hochberg's article about the refreshment package and it states that "Royal Caribbean defines "premium coffees" as cappuccinos, espressos, and lattes. Thus, espresso based drinks are included with the Royal Refreshment package at any restaurant, bar, or cafe that serves espresso beverages.". Which is great becau
  7. Just checked the Royal carribean website and 2019 UK dates have been published! Explorer of the seas will be joining independence of the seas departing from 2019 :)
  8. Hello, and thank you for reading. My parents are traveling to Alaska on the Explorer of the Seas over their 40th Anniversary. This is special not only because it's 40 years, but they have never taken a cruise as a couple and never been to Alaska (or Seattle!). Their three sons have created a photo album book that we would very much like for them to open on the cruise ship during their vacation, however, Royal WILL NOT allow us to ship them anything, and will not assist in getting it on the boat for us. My Ask; I'm looking for someone traveling on this same ship to deliver the album
  9. Explorer of the Seas - 3 Day Cruise Review Just got back from my first RCI cruise, 2nd cruise ever. We did the sample cruise out of Sydney, as my husband has never been cruising before and we wanted to see what he thought before doing a longer itinerary. Unfortunately he didn't enjoy it - the movement of the sea was a bit too much for him. He was very glad to get off the ship and back on to land. I had a blast though. My first cruise was with P&O Australia and now having been on RCI I won't do anything less. The ship was better appointed, staff friendlier and everything was ju
