  2. Great experience for the family. Recommended for strong swimmers, but life vests are available for intermediate swimmers. Consider having a driver to take you so you can stop and do other things and be a part of a smaller group - we can recommend a driver. It is beautiful there and you will have an exciting time climbing and jumping off the rocks of the waterfall and high platform. The experience is AMAZING! Between the tranquil waters, pleasant vibes and the wonderful tour guides, your time spent here is well worth it. Very therapeutic and you are able to hike all the way to the top and jump into the "lagoon" . www.coolblueholeochorios.com
  3. Hello, we will be cruising aboard Liberty of the Seas Western Caribbean soon. We normally do destination vacations and spend our time at the beach, relaxing, walking and drinking. I do have a fear of water and don’t know how to swim at all, and my husband is a fish! I’m trying to find excursions that we will both enjoy and can do together. In Cozumel we were hoping that perhaps there isa beach near the port that we can walk to and hang out on. Is this possible? In Georgetown we aren’t sure what to do at all and would love to hear your suggestions! For Falmouth would you all suggest one of the resort excursions to lay on a beach? Thank You so much!
  4. Has anyone done this excursion in Falmouth? What was your experience? I like that it's only 20 minutes from port. FAMILY THRILL SEEKERS PASS & ADVENTURE FALLS FALMOUTH, JAMAICA Play for a day on our 2,000 acre Good Hope Estate Park, located only 20 minutes from the Falmouth Port. See and experience an amazing blend of nature adventure, fun-filled and adrenaline-packed activities, wrapped in a period of colonial history and culture; perfect for the entire family. This property showcases 16 buildings of historical significance, highlighted by a 1700s Great House, and the fun-filled Jungle Adventure Falls. Float down the mysterious Martha Brae River, etched by the ruins of yesteryear, in an inner tube or kayak. Listen to the stories of the historical significance of the plantation while you view these elements from a perspective that only being on the river allows. Soar through tree tops and over rolling terrain and view beautiful, historic buildings via the longest zipline in Jamaica. No trip to Good Hope would be complete without a ride down the 300ft waterslide which cascades beautifully to end in a majestic pool, perfect for families. Splash about and enjoy the refreshing terraced waterfall for the ultimate relaxation. Adding to your fill of nature adventure activities, test your skills and balance on the challenge course, or journey back in time as you tour the Great House. Kids are in for a treat as our guides teach them how to mine for Caribbean island gems. Sample Jamaica’s finest rum in our Appleton Rum Tasting experience. Take a stroll to the Bird Aviary and Fishing Pond before you end a perfect day in the interior of Jamaica’s gorgeous countryside. You may purchase jerk chicken or hamburgers with curly fries, and delicious decadences such as ice cream or cold coffee beverages. This action-packed day offers something for everyone in your family. For guests wishing to extend their day, additional activities are available for purchased at Good Hope. Transportation returns to the pier every 30 minutes. FY2G
  5. I booked my first cruise with my 4 closest guy friends. I'm in the Army and stationed overseas. I am on Holiday Block Leave and this cruise is the highlight of my vacation. I'm super excited about my first cruise experience and I wanted to see/connect with others who are on this sailing. Feel free to message and reply if you are!
  6. According to a Jamaican newspaper, a new entertainment spot is scheduled to be constructed for cruise passengers. Also, regarding the harassment of passengers...
  7. I am cruising in March of 2017 on the Allure of the Seas with the 7 night western caribbean. We don't know any good excursions and were looking for help. There is a 14 year old and a 11 year old. We would like something fun, but not too physically demanding. Please let me know any feedback. Ports: Cozumel, Mexico Falmouth, Jamaica Labadee, Haiti (Royal Caribbean Island)
  8. Hi, all! I'm appealing to the collective intelligence here. My wife, two sons (ages 6 and 4 at sailing) and I will be visiting Falmouth in March 2018. I've been researching excursion ideas, but I've found none that really appeal. I'm hoping you can help. My wife is not really a beach person, and with the ages of my kids, I'm not sure that an action/adventure excursion is right for us. Most of them have age limits that would prevent our youngest from going. I'm also concerned that my children would not be terribly entertained by a cultural visit. Does anyone else have brilliant ideas that would appeal to younger children but not necessarily include a beach? So far, my favored option seems to be a day pass to the Hilton Rose Hall resort (mainly for the pools with waterslides for my two little bundles of energy). However, I'm curious what else might work well. Thanks in advance!
  9. I am looking at excursions for Falmouth and Cozumel. It is our first cruise in April. Nothing in jamaica seems to excite me except possibly Blue Waters Beach or Jewel Beach Break AI. Leaning towards Jewel bc I think my boys will love the water park option. Do they have cabana rentals? I am also trying to decide between Jaguar Bus, Bike and Beach or Mr. Sanchos! In Labadee I was thinking of the dragons breath flight line and Amiga Island experience. Any thoughts or tips appreciated! Michele
  10. I'm curious to know if while in port at Labaee, Falmouth, and Cozumel if you bring your own snorkeling gear how easy is it to find areas to snorkel for cheap or even free?
  11. If anyone is interested in joining a small group of us who are going to the Blue Hole near Ocho Rios on the 21 Feb Allure sailing, please let me know. Please send me a private message and we will arrange to contact. This is a private excursion coordinated by one of our group. Expenses (per person) are as follows: $30 for transportation to the site and back to the ship $10 for admission to the blue hole $20 for river tubing (this is an add-on and will only be attempted if there is sufficient time and if you want to do it) $10 tip for the driver/tour guide $?? for lunch. Whatever you want to spend It is my understanding that this is at LEAST a 75 minute ride from the ship at Falmouth and another 75 minutes back. Our arrangement with the tour operator is that we MUST be back to the ship NLT 5:00 or 2 hours prior to sail time, if the sail time changes.
  12. I am looking at a tour out of Falmouth with Chukka. It's called the Good Hope Ultimate Thrill Seeker's Pass. Has anyone done this tour before or done business with Chukka before ? It looks like a pretty good deal but I wanted to get some feedback if I can.
  13. Can anybody tell me how long it might take to get of the ship in Falmouth, Jamaica, in this case the Serenade of the Seas? Any suggestions to get off the quickest? Our ship is supposed to dock at 9:00 a.m. and we are supposed to meet someone at 9:30 a.m. a few blocks from the port.
