  1. Theoretically, it's doable, BUT,  i got out of the Allure in Fort Lauderdale at 7:00 am. But keep in mind that anything could happen. Don't forget possible delay at the TSA check point in FLL.

We do not recommend anything returning flight before noon, your playing with fire.

And at 9:10 am departure flight ? Your gonna get burned.

    I do not recommend.

  2. Okay...I'm sorry for being so dense on this, but I "think" I'm getting it.

Tell me if this is accurate:

I get the three device plan....we have four phones.

My two sons stayed signed in constantly on their two phones.

I sign in with my phone....in order for my wife to use her phone, I would have to sign off of my phone...but my two sons could stay signed in on theirs.

    Correct?

    You are correct !

If you buy a 3 device package, you will be given 3 different password. So at any time, 3 out of your 4 phone (or tablet, or laptop) will be able to signed in simultaneously.

  3. This price drop right after your purchase in very unfortunate. But, has Marc said, you are beyond the final payment deadline.

I always book my cruise 15 to 20 months in advance and I to, have seen some minor price drop after my final payment.

Since it's your first cruise with Royal Caribbean, I'm sure you will enjoy your cruise and hopefully forget about that price drop has soon has you take your first Lava Flow.

  4. I believe as long as they behave properly, there won't be any problems.

If at anytime, there actions poses a threat for themselves, the ship or other passengers, you will surely ear knocking on your door.

Relax, and enjoy your cruise, your gonna have a great time with your 2 well behaved 17 years old. :)

  5. I have asked for them to leave the beer bottle capped so I could put it in the mini-frig for later. Some will do that for you, some won't.

I agree, one barman in central park once gave 2 beers, one for now, and one for the road he told me :) I had the drink package at that time, and it was the last night on the ship.

  6. That would be pretty nice !!! But no, you can't.

Also, you don't have to buy it on the first day of your cruise, Has todd says, you can wait until a few days into your cruise to buy it.

But us cruisers tend to drink a bit more at the beginning of our cruise, because of all the excetiments.

Remember that NOT all the people in the same stateroom has to buy it. That was the case a few years ago.

  7. I have seen a few security agent on my last cruise, no guns visible, and they were all very discreet.

The passengers were very well behaved, polite, civilized and respectful to each other.

The cruise ship became, for a week, a small community of understanding, carring and friendship. No matter if your black, white, yellow or miscellaneous.

But, some might always try to take advantage if the opportunities shows up.

In general, I could say that, people on a cruise ship would tend to be "more civilized"  compare to your normal neighborhood.

  8. I was on the Allure in January 2016, and saw many kids (aged 6 to 16) running around with a souvenir cup and filling it in a freestyle machine every now and then.

Obviusly the cup did not belong to them !

So what the heck ! Go for it my friend, and welcome to Royal Caribbean Blog.

I also had the premium package and enjoyed every minute of it, ohhh the freedom it gives you....

Wish you have a great cruise !!

  9. Just make sure you have all the documents that you need for the friend, including, the documentation that you need from the friends parent(s) giving you permission for her to go.

You are soooo right to mention that the friends parent gives them a written letter of permission. You don't want anything bad happen when your in port on embakartion day.

  10. They can and will dock on either side for all the reasons listed above.

As for the name "port side" (and "starboard side"):  Many answers, but the one I've always accepted is that in the earliest days of sailing ships, there was no rudder, but there was a "steering board".  This was hung out near the back.  It was not directly in the center but off to the right side.  Why the right side?  Because most people are right-handed and that is their strong side with which to operate the steering board.  The"steering board side" became abbreviated over the years to become "starboard".  The left side was called "port side" bacause you always put that side towards the dock so as not to damage the steering board.

Now that sir, is a darn good explination. Now I finally know what those words means. Thanks !!
