Since I've only sailed in the Caribbean, I'll stick with rum - Ron_Zacapa_Centenario_23_anos.jpg

Yeah, I know it's Guatemalan, but it was available on Oasis, and since my all time favorite was Mount Gay's Tricentennial http://www.rumgallery.com/_Media/image-16.tiff costs as much as a cruise itself ... I'll 'suffer' with Ron Zacapa.

I have a few rum drink recipes at my "blog" at http://blog.billcarney.com ("blog" in quotes as it's more like just to place to store stuff I find interesting).

I enjoyed with my family the Caribbean cruise during week 52 in 2015.
I want to point out the excellent service in dining room from SELIM (waiter), he was outstanding during all dinners, his attention and dedication were so great.
Another special situation was in city sightseeing company, my wife forgot her hand bag and we contacted client service for this company and my wife received 15 minutes later her hand bag, therefore I want to point out the attention and solution for this inconvenience that we had, my especial recognition to Mr. Guillermo Maldonado for his excellent service to our request and its quick solution .

You check into a hotel and your 8 year old asks, "When are we going back to the cabin."

The *only* reason we're not booking one of the 3 (thus far) overnighters in Cozumel is because we've got two booked next year already.  If I didn't have the expense of flying the four of us to Florida, it would be a no-brainer.  $2K for an owners suite...wow!

I was able to get an even BETTER price on my April 11 sailing on Empress.  For reasons which elude me, the base price of the cruise went up slightly but the C&A discounts went up an additional $66 so now instead of a 58% savings, it's up to 62%.  It just keeps gettin' better and better !

If you have Google Earth installed on your computer, zoom to 19°47'07.07" N  72°14'35.84" W to see what Labadee looks like.  There's no real way to run around it, especially when there's people there.

P.S. I use Google Earth to check out the various ports I'm going to, just so that I have a mental bird's eye view of the place in my head before we get there.

bcarney got a reaction from Matt in Empress of the Seas - what would you like to see?
We did Empress of the Seas back in Nov 2005 B.C. (Before Children).  It had a great itinerary that at the time we booked included stops in St. Barts and Grenada (which we had not been to, but after booking both ports were cancelled and replaced with Aruba and Margarita Island, Venezuela).  I'd hope that RC would consider continuing that tradition of going to more obscure, smaller ports that they larger ships can't go to.  My dream would be sailing from San Juan to Tortola BVI, Anguilla, St. Barts, Guadeloupe, St. Vincent, and Tobago...

I wish I would have thought of that.  My son just turned nine and he has 46 under his belt (with another 14 next year).

    Two additional confessions:

    1. I keep a spreadsheet of all of my cruises to keep tracks of the ships and the number of days I've spent onboard.  My goal is for my son to have spent 365 days onboard before he reaches 18; I have 10 years to meet that goal and I'm only about one-third of the way there.

    2. The local mini-golf place in town opened a Johnny Rockets inside, but I refuse to dine there as I want it to be my Royal Caribbean thing.
