  1. A Voyager and Radiance class out of Sydney, a Quantum out of Brisbane, and an Oasis out of Singapore. That is my ideal scenario. One can dream...
  2. What @twangstersaid. Nobody will be at the entrance checking ID. If you look clearly underage, expect to be challenged by staff when they notice you. If not, you may be ok.
  3. As long as Jack and Rose are OK.
  4. I've been waiting all week for RC to release its 2023-24 Singapore sailings, which were scheduled to occur the week of 6 June. With no new itineraries opening up I decided to search online for the latest deployment schedule and it now shows that opening week has been delayed. @MattI don't recall seeing this in any of your blog posts, but correct me if I am wrong. I thought some people might like to know.
  5. The Solarium on Quantum has been known to be suite guests only when doing Chinese sailings. But anywhere else, that rule fortunately goes out the window. Jan 2020 I sailed from Singapore, on a non-"culturally enriching" cruise and the Solarium was open to all.
  6. Saw a blackboard menu outside the Whalebone Brewery in Exmouth. It said Soup of the Day - Beer.
  7. If memory serves, it wasn't so long ago that we had, for what feels like such a fleeting period, a Radiance, Voyager and Quantum class ship all sailing out of Sydney. The perfect mix if you ask me.
  8. I looked into cruising Pacific Explorer from Freo to Exmouth for the solar eclipse in April 2023. It's a five-nighter and you don't get off the ship, but you'd be anchored off Exmouth for the eclipse. It seemed like a good idea but then I Youtubed the Pacific Explorer. I was put off completely. I'm literally trying to arrange accommodation in the caravan park instead, LOL.
  9. Would the government have been consulting with Royal about this? No point building such a facility unless the cruiselines intended to utilise it for their biggest ships, right?
  10. Foreigners are allowed in. So if cruises resume I don't see why not.
  11. In Jan 2020 out of Singapore it was free. That was back in the before times, though. As a side note, I view iFly as a "one and done" activity. It takes 30-60 minutes from start to finish, including suiting up, a briefing, demo, and waiting for everybody to have their turn. And all for a 60 second go, where you feel uncoordinated and rely on the instructor at all times. It's a fun little adventure but not worthy of repeating regularly. Just my view.
  12. Yeah, I've been to those two islands on both Radiance and Explorer.
  13. I'm not sure. Are other lines visiting? Is it a covid thing? i.e. the locals don't want to risk it?
  14. [Hey Matty, I'm not sure that helps.]
  15. In fact, it's a shame we won't have Voyager class either. Two Quantum class ships seems like overkill.
  16. Love Radiance. It's a shame we won't have that class of ship for the foreseeable future. Enchantment in 2023-24 might have to do.
  17. Those sailings have now been pulled from the website.
  18. fyi @Matt just some tidbits of news above ^^^
  19. So Quantum, Ovation and Enchantment for the season.
  20. Two cruises are up already for 2023-24
  21. Once The Twangster caught norovirus on a ship. After five days of excruciating pain, the virus died.
  22. When The Twangster stays in an interior cabin, he doesn’t turn the lights on, he turns the dark off.
  23. If The Twangster was onboard, the iceberg would've dodged The Titanic.
