Sorry for not answering, We went on the 14 night New Zealand adventure aboard the Radiance and it was wonderful.

G'day, 
Just finished the 14 day New Zealand trip from Australia and enjoyed my self completely as did my wife.
I had so many questions before I cruised I asked them on here and received many different answers.
Had I followed some I would have caused quite the ruckus. I have to assume that different countries allow many different things.
If any body is travelling out of Australian waters to NZ and needs some answers i will endeavor to answer as honestly as possible based on my recent experience.

How do we make the time till or cruise go quicker, I am never booking this far ahead again next cruise will be an impulse cruise I will book it a week In advance not 10 months

I grew up in the Outer Western Suburbs of Sydney, Australia. I often would travel by bus and train for 45 minutes to get to the city so i could look at the cruise ships as they came in and take some photos, I always wanted to go on one but could only dream of it.
Now I live in Adelaide Australia, 1400 kms away and am able to afford a cruise, My wife and I both love photography and are looking forward to taking many beautiful photos on our first Cruise, we have travelled around the uk and ireland by coach so now feel a cruise ship is the next way to go.

I was on Radiance just recently in Alaska. The plugs were American (see below), but I hear that they change the plugs to accommodate wherever the ship is home ported.

My first ever cruise will be Sydney to New Zealand to Sydney cruise on board the Radiance of the Seas in February 2015, A cruise is long overdue for me as I have always loved watching the ships come and go, now my wife and I will experience our first.

we have a deluxe room near an elevator near the front of the ship, I will be happy to walk to the back of the ship for food etc as it will counter balance the food I am going to eat.
on a recent coach tour of the UK we were worried prior to leaving that we may not get enough food, we had so much food that we were putting on too much weight and being on a coach had no opportunity to lose the weight.
so we will be eating and walking as much as we can
