  1. Thanks @Matt The sailing I've booked what I think is an A2 (Deck 10 Aqua Theater Suite) is for early 2019 on Allure of the Seas. I will check with RCCL directly on my question since I booked this directly through them. BTW: I'm not opposed to moving the reservation to a Travel Agency if there is an incentive to do so.
  2. Thanks @Matt. Also just for clarification, on Oasis Class ships is the following accurate? A1 (8330, 8730) A2 (9330, 9730, 10330, 10730) A3 (11330, 11730) A4 (12330, 12730)
  3. And this from @Matt on a comment later on in that blog post. http://disq.us/p/1god0oy Maybe @Matt can chime here in and give me some peace of mind. Because if A2 isn't Star Class, I'm definitely changing my reservation. Specifically is Deck 10 Aqua Theater Suites on Oasis Class ships still Star Class?
  4. I think I may have found the article. I see an image on the below article that looks very similar to the one you posted, however it's slightly different. Wonder which one is correct? The image on the below article has all A1 and A2 still included in Star Class. http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/03/01/royal-caribbean-re-categorize-all-staterooms-fleet-wide
  5. hmm, now I'm a bit concerned. Where did you see that?
  6. @abnermkd Thanks for your response on the Cabanas. What about something like a Bridge Tour or a Theater Backstage Tour?
  7. Well that would stink if I booked a room thinking it had Genie and ended up not having genie. However for my sanity, I just doubled checked the FAQ on the Royal Suite Class website. and saw the following: ( I booked 10330 on Allure so I think I'm good, at least for now) Royal Suite Class offers three tiers of accommodations, based on the suite category, Star, Sky, and Sea. Star Royal Loft Suite Owner’s Loft Suite Four Bedroom Family Suite (Harmony of the Seas only) Grand Loft Suite Sky Loft Suite Two Bedroom AquaTheater Suite (Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Decks 8, 9, 10) Sky Crown Loft Suite Owner’s Suite Royal Family Suite Superior Grand Suite Grand Suite One Bedroom AquaTheater Suite (Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Decks 11, 12, 14) Sea Family Junior Suite Junior Suite Spa Junior Suite *Staterooms vary by ship class. Stateroom categories and suites are subject to change without notice.
  8. Yea, I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up, regardless of ports of call. Now the $8000 for 2 people in the A2 I *think* is a great price for that room too from what I've seen. I have almost 2 years to figure out how to come up with the money to pay for that one too. Or recruit another couple to go with me to use the second bedroom and split the cost with me. I'm actually really surprised they let me book an A2 with only 2 people.
  9. @abnermkd Thanks for your response. I'm looking at booking an A2 on Allure so I believe that is Star Class. I'm looking forward to the experience and was just trying to get accurate expectations. I understand that the genie service is complimentary with Star Class, however would the Cabana also be complimentary if reserved through the Genie or would that be an extra cost?
  10. For those of you who have had the pleasure of experiencing the Royal Genie service, what kind of requests did you make from your Genie. What kind of requests (if any) did you have to pay extra for on top of your cruise fare? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect from a Genie and what experiences (if any) I would have to expect to receive from them for an extra cost. I don't mind paying for things, I'm just curious what I would be paying a "price" versus a "gratuity" for.
  11. I did not see the "surf" only package as an option to purchase pre-cruise. However I did see the "surf" only option available on board Oasis 3 weeks ago.
  12. Yep the OS 3 weeks ago was for a 7 night Western Caribbean. and the Allure ATS ($8,000) in question is for a 7 night Eastern Caribbean.
  13. I had an Owners Suite on Oasis 3 weeks ago for 3 people for $3,000. I thought that was a great deal too :-) I guess I'm getting really lucky lately. I should buy some lottery tickets.
  14. That's what I thought as well about it being restricted to more than 4 people. However I saw it as available on the website a little while ago and called RCI to book it :-). We are likely going to add my son to the reservation and/or find another couple to use the other bedroom to split the cost.
  15. It's stateroom 10330 so I guess it's the smallest of the Star Class ATS rooms. But it's really tempting for that price to have Genie, Included Mini Bar, Included Beverage Package, Included Specialty Dining, and Included Prepaid Gratuities...along with all the other benefits that I got with Sky Class 3 weeks ago in my OS on Oasis.
  16. @Matt Is A2 category a Star Class category? I think it is since it's a 2 BDR ATS, but wanted to try to confirm.
  17. Is $8,000 for a Star Class Aqua Theater for 2 people on Allure of the Seas in Jan 2019 a good price for that room category?
  18. Junior Suite is only allowed access to Coastal Kitchen for dinner and reservations are required. Junior Suite guests are not allowed access to the Suite Lounge.
  19. Sabor was still a la carte on Oasis last week. They told me that the $15 per person reservation charged would be credited to my final meal bill.
  20. People usually don't leave Asylum's once they check-in. I could live with that in this case.
  21. "Passion of the Seas" and "Pulse of the Seas" will be the next 2 Quantum (Actually, Quantum-Plus) Class ship names. RCCL also holds rights to "Vantage of the Seas"
  22. Here is an explanation on how families traveling in multiple staterooms will work: https://support.ourcruisephotos.com/support/solutions/articles/30600-families-traveling-together-in-multiple-staterooms
  23. I think the price is different (both pre-cruise and onboard for different sailings), however on my last cruise on Oasis I think I remember the on board price of the all digital package being about $50 higher than the pre-cruise price. I feel the package is a great value as my wife and I (and now my son our next cruise) are usually hams to the cameras :-). Our cruise photos have always turned out really, really good and paying that price for the all digital package is no more than paying for a professional photo session back home.
  24. I'm in an Owner's Suite on Oasis in less than a month and do not see CK listed in Cruise Planner.
