  1. I, too, agree with Brian. You will pay less money per person per day on gratuities with connecting balcony staterooms versus a large suite.
  2. Interesting, "tea kettles in rooms instead of coffee makers". The only coffee maker I have ever had in my room was room service and I had to stir in the sugar & cream! Tried to get my wife to do it for me, once (nicely I will add), and she quickly told me where I could "stir my coffee".
  3. Hi Susan, Welcome to our group! In all my RC cruises since 2006, I do not remember a "Tea Time" being offered on any of the ships we were on. Of course, you could always do your own Tea Time at the coffee shop on board. They do offer some tea blends and many delicious cookie/pastry to go along with your tea.
  4. Personally, I think planning a Caribbean cruise during the hurricane season (August-November, with mid Sept. the peak) is just not a good idea. Yeah, I know that's the only time a lot of folks can get away due to work, family commitments, etc. To me it is just an expensive exercise in what could be massive disappointment. I truly wish the best on those folks who are on a cruise now or waiting to find out more on their booked cruise.
  5. Try this. If the excursion you want is still in your cart, note the price and then complete the booking, ie, charge it to your credit card. After you do that, if the price does not reflect any discount at all you can always cancel the excursion on line or call RCL back and have them cancel it.
  6. Yeah, get the F**** out of here!
  7. Guittech, This is a CRUISE. Don't, or try not to, get too spun up on planning/researching, etc. If there is something once on board you are not happy with, there are RC folks you can talk to about rectifying the situation. Dinner plan can also be changed once on board. Relax and HAVE FUN.
  8. If your bed arrangement isn't to your satisfaction when you get to your cabin, just let your cabin attendant know and presto...he/she will make it happen before you retire for the night.
  9. That is an option, but, if you have to use the bathroom.......it's like looking at a solar flair at nigh time!
  10. Hey Pops, Hope you are high and dry! By the way you had recommended Seattle's Best "Henry's Blend" to me way earlier this year. I finally found some at a local retail grocery shop. Great blend, just as I remember from on board the Serenade back in March.. These wireless led lights look great, but how bright are they? Are they light the typical night light you put in the hall or bathroom? Or are they like an overhead that lights up the room?
  11. Last year on the Allure, there was an automatic low wattage nite light in the bathroom over the mirror & sink. Just right for the "mid-night sailor". What ship will you be on? Ask around here, someone might be able to....shed some light.
  12. Thanks again Matt, just downloaded it. Have a great weekend!
  13. Allure of the Seas 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise Compass - June 24, 2017. Thanks Matt!!
  14. Thanks for your reply, Matt. I am an insider but still don't see the download arrow. ???
  15. Yeah, I haven't figured the downloading feature either. Perhaps Matt will let us know.
  16. Can you be a little more specific, where do I search, how do I download, etc. Thanks.
  17. How does one print off a Cruise Compass that has been uploaded in the Cruise Compass heading above? Thanks.
  18. This is exactly why we prefer to cruise during the January-April time frame. Sept-November is the hurricane/tropical storm season.
  19. Jason......please share with the rest of us on the message board, thanks!!:
  20. Not too worry. The daily Cruise Compass put in your cabin every night will tell you what you will need with you when you get off the ship in each port to include CocoCay.
