I book way early because I don't live near a decent cruise port.

That being said, I'm thinking about surprising my other half. We're gonna go to FL for vacation in December. I think WHILE I'm in FL, I'm going to quickly book a last minute 4-night Bahamas cruise for a great deal. The worst that could happen? No good deals, and we're still in Florida. The best? It'll be a GREAT surprise! ;-)

For me it is not a holiday if it's not at least 7 nights. The more 7 night cruises I do the longer I want to be onboard. I'm slowly working my way up. I could stay onboard for 35 days, but my wife would miss the cats. *rolls eyes*

Personally I've become of the opinion that I don't want land based restaurants on the ships to make the ships more unique.

I balked at the price when it was announced.  I'd love to see those parts of the ship but $340 for 2 people just isn't worth it to me.

I relish in planning a cruise well in advance.  To me, that's half the fun!

Hello, Kim and Bill, we enjoy cruising and were taking off pretty regularly until 2011 when we purchased 20 acres of farm,(while on a cruise, MIL signed the papers for us!) with the farm we have to be home more so we have to plan a little more for when the kids and come feed the animals! :)

Just please get a passport. It is an official document that everyone should really have.

The glass bottom idea is pretty cool.  Not sure how it works with a ship that size and being able to sustain it or if guests ever get a chance to go that low.  But if they could make it happen, it would be neat.  Heck, how about an underwater cam that anyone can watch in their stateroom?

One of the great things about vacation or just being away from home is trying other restaurants or dining experiences...so no chains on a cruise!! Starbucks is about as close as I can get to having something I can get at home! Love my cruise vacation food!!

We have sailed in August and October without any problems on board. The August trip we did watch the RCL website and NOAA for storms as there were several barring down on the gulf (we sailed out of Galveston) but we didn't have any issues and the trip was great! We have had other sailing that had rough water but the best thing to do is stay topside (stay out of your cabin, unless you have a balcony) and take meds! Our very first cruise, on a different line, the first night was very rough and I took my medication and went to the back deck out of the wind and slept on deck, it was actually a nice evening!
RCL is very careful about keeping you safe, that is one reason RCL is our first choice! Canceled an Alaskan cruise when a group we are members of did a trip on RCL, best ever trip!
