  1. Wow! That's dedication to the message boards right there! Thanks so much!
  2. Do C&A members get a discount on Voom and if so what level do you need to be?
  3. Thanks @KLAconQueso - you seem to be answering lots of my questions! ??
  4. On my previous Cruise on Navigator, I never spotted mimosas being offered at breakfast anywhere. Was I simply not looking hard enough?! Is this something that is generally available and if so how do I go about ordering one (or some!) On my upcoming cruise on Independence and will they be covered by the drinks package? ??
  5. Will the Aqua Theatre and waterslides be the open on transatlantic in April? We were considering booking on Symphony while she is in the Med this summer but lack of sea days to enjoy the ship put us off. Transatlantic could be do-able though...
  6. I'm off on my 2nd RC this summer. Just enrolled for C&A Society membership and it's showing I've got 14 points from my previous cruise making me a gold member. Am I right in thinking this gets me priority boarding this time around and if so, what does that entail? Also my husband was on my last cruise with me and will be next time. I've added him as a 'guest' on my CA profile and have tried to use the 'enrol a household member' form but for some reason it's not working. Do I/he need to get in touch with them for him to take advantage of priority boarding too? Or do I have to leave him in the terminal while I get on-board early? ?
  7. Thanks- thought that would be the case but wanted to make sure that we won't be missing anything!
  8. Booked to go on our second cruise with RC later this year - 14 night med on Independence We are trying traditionl dining this time round - having done MTD on our first cruise on Navigator. We have the second seating - 8pm. Looking at previous Cruise Compasses it looks like geneal times for the shows are 7pm and 9pm. Obviously we will still be dining during the second show. Am I correct in assuming that the shows are only an hour or less, allowing us to attend the first show before going for dinner?
  9. Depends if they're using the new or old menu. Apparently red velvet cake has gone from the new menu ?
  10. Thanks. So now we're definitely doing specialty dining just so we can take the dessert to go! ?
  11. I've just spotted on another post someone referring to taking 'dessert to go' when dining at Chops/Giovanni's Table. When we were on Navigator for our first cruise, we dined at Chops and it was amazing! However, we were so full that I ordered the Red Velvet Cake and just had a couple of bites of it - in the name of research ? My husband refused to order one and so I didn't get to even try his! We're looking forward to our upcoming cruise on the newly-refurbed IOS and will definitely dine at Chops again. If we are again too full for dessert, should we/can we ask for dessert to go?
  12. I really enjoyed the pizza from Cafe Promenade a couple of years ago on Navigator- averaging 2 slices per day. I'm looking forward to trying Sorrento's on Independence later tks year (148 days and counting) purely in the name of research.
  13. Haven't been on Allure but a couple of years ago on Navigator my go-to day drink was a frozen mojito - the bar tender called it 'vegetable soup' but if you like mojitos, it's definitely worth trying one. After dinner - espresso martini from R Bar. Another one I got them to make me up was an iceberg. It's a beer (lager) with a frozen margarita float tht looks like an iceberg. The bartender in the Solarium thought it was hilarious! He kept lauhing and shouting "iceberg" and before I knew it, everyone was ordering them ??
  14. Thanks. By the looks of those plans it's staying. Fingers crossed... Hoping to get booked this week
  15. We're planning on sailing on IOS this summer after the refurb. Does anyone know if Viking Crown Lounge is staying? It isn't showing on the new deck plans but there's nothing marked in its place either. I really hope it will still be there. We loved loved watching sunsets and sailaways from this bar during our previous sailing on Navigator. That would definitely be my go-to place/moment. Forgive me if this has already been answered somewhere - I have trawled and searched but couldn't find anything.
  16. Do you remember how much they were Matt?
  17. Hi everyone. Just 5 mores sleeps until my first ever cruise! :D So excited but need to ask a couple of practical questions: 1) We want to use cash to settle our onboard account and, from what I gather reading other posts, it's possible to set up the account at check in using a card, but then settle with cash at guest services on the last night. Is that correct? 2) My TA marked my account as 'cash' when she completed my online check-in for me - will they be able to add a card when I check in at the port? 3) I'm sailing out of Southampton, UK. Will I be able to pay cash into my account using sterling £ ? TIA
  18. Thanks for your replies. Got our seapasses all printed off today - just the drink packages to book now and we're pretty much good to go :D
  19. I can't guarantee I'll save room but I can guarantee that I'll cram dessert in regardless! ;)
  20. Just booked Sabor through the online cruise planner as a Birthday present for my step-dad on our upcoming cruise. So I've paid the cover charge for each of us but the pricing is a la carte on the sample menu so my question is - What/how much are we allowed to eat? TIA
  21. As I understand it, they offer different 'themes' in the MDR. My questions are: 1) Is every night a different 'theme'? 2) What themes can I expect on a 14 night Med Navigator cruise? Will they 'recycle' themes ie Italian nights on both weeks. I LOVE food and I'm trying to decide if/how much specialty dining to book but I don't want to miss anything tasty that I don't have to pay extra for! TIA
  22. I've found and am following Matt, mpoole3 and Rich_Tripp. Yay!
  23. I downloaded Periscope yesterday just so I could watch Matt's periscopes. I don't really understand the technicalities of the app yet and have yet to watch a live one but I'm very excited to watch more and to watch some from actual ships! This sounds like a good way for me to find more!
