  1. The Serenade of Seas was very organized for both embarkation and disembarkation. NOLA has become our favorite cruise port. The city has many great attractions. We will miss having a RCI ship. Our only choices now will be Carnival and NCL in the winter months.
  2. Hi Peter! Congrats on booking your first cruise!
  3. As Chief Thunderthud would say "cowabunga!" We had a promenade cabin on the Freedom, but not like that one!
  4. We drove to FLL a couple years ago for a 10 day New Years cruise and booked the Homewood Suites in Dania beach, FL, which included free parking for the duration of the cruise and shuttle service to Port Everglades. It was a very nice suite hotel and included many extras. http://www.hwsfllairport.com/ When we fly in the Hyatt Pier 66 is our favorite, mainly because of the great location.
  5. Welcome aboard! It looks like our USI's former basketball coach from a few years ago is going to be the new coach at Auburn.
  6. Welcome aboard fellow Hoosiers! :) :)
  7. I agree with you 100% on the Guy burgers! They taste great and at no additional costs. As far as Johnny Rockets go we don't have any around here, in fact I never heard of them until our Freedom of the Seas cruise a few years ago. We thought their burgers were okay but nothing to right home about.
  8. Our next is actually two cruises B2B on the Serenade of the Seas from NOLA for New Year 2015 and the week after: Dec 27, 2014 to Jan 03, 2015 - Key West, Florida - Cococay, Bahamas - Nassau, Bahamas Jan 03, 2015 to Jan 10, 2015 - Falmouth, Jamaica - Georgetown, Grand Cayman - Cozumel, Mexico
  9. Our first trip to Belize was in our younger 'snorkeling' days in Oct of 2002. We were on our first RCI cruise ship, Rhapsody of the Seas out of Galveston. We took a snorkel excursion right off the ship to Shark Ray Alley near the island of Ambergris Caye. It was one of our all time favorite excursions. We swam and snorkeled with 6 foot long nurse sharks, as well as Rays and many species of fish. Afterwards we went to the town of San Pedro on the island for lunch. The only vehicles seen there were golf carts. It's a beautiful island! http://ambergriscaye.com/pages/town/parksharkrayalley.html
  10. Hello all fellow cruisers! We are Hoosiers from Southern Indiana. We've been on 27 cruises spread between Carnival, HAL, RCI, NCL, Princess and Celebrity. We recently finished our third RCI cruise, which was on the Serenade out of NOLA. It was one of our better cruises and we fell in love with ship. On the last full day aboard we decided to book our same stateroom for a B2B cruise for New Year and the week after. :) :)
  11. Our next RCI cruise(s) is a B2B on the Serenade of the Seas for New Year 2015 and the week after Dec 27, 2014 to Jan 03, 2015, Key West and the Bahamas Jan 03 to Jan 10, 2015, W Caribbean
  12. We've done a couple B2B's on other cruise lines. They are twice the fun! ;) ;)
  13. Our challenge is finding a cruise to our liking from a port we can drive too. It's to much of a hassle to fly from our little city and it's also very expensive. :( :( Our next challenge is finding the same stateroom on a ship we can book for a B2B cruise with different itineraries for each week. We just finished a 7 day cruise on the Serenade out of NOLA last month and while aboard we made the challenge a little easier by booking a B2B for New Year 2015 and the week after and in the same stateroom! The first week is the W Caribbean and the second week is Key West and the Bahamas. :) :)
