Nice find Kat! Soon you will have me looking for our first cruise pic from 1999 on NCL. At the time all guest seemed to be twice our age and we just had an "okay" time. We tried Carnival next and it was full of kids and drunk college students. I talked my wife into trying one more cruise. We got a last minute deal on Royal's Splendour of the Seas. We found OUR cruise line and have since been loyal to Royal.
Our last cruise was on Enchantment with our adult sons and we had a wonderful time.
Edit: Found pics.
Awe!!! Great Pictures!!!! I did not think about this before, was just excited I found my first Cruise picture!! I think it is a great idea!!! Everyone find your first cruise pictures, and post them!!!!! 😊

Nice Kat.
We will be on Enchantment for the first time for our anniversary in November. Looking forward to it.
Debating between the beach loungers or getting a cabana. Got the lounger when we sailed Majesty and really liked it. Just thought we'd kick it up a notch for our anniversary.
I am going on the majesty of the seas, in September after it gets refurbished. I hope the upgrades are really great, it will be the smallest ship I've ever been on. I'm taking my friend for her first ever cruise.
You will really love the Enchantment of the seas!!!
It was a wonderful cruise for my husband and myself to go on our first ever cruise, and also set off my cruise addiction! lol.
Royal Caribbean does a very good job of making you feel very pampered, so I have no doubt, that your anniversary will be wonderful!!!
I want to go on Enchantment of the seas again, sometime in the very near future!

Anyone here that has met/talked to me, obviously knows,
I am getting very excited for my upcoming cruise, on the largest ship I have ever been on, Allure of the Seas!!!
I have been searching my condo, ever since we moved Dec/15, for this one picture, of my very first ever cruise in 2006, on Royal Caribbean's, Enchantment Of The Seas, of my husband and myself.
My Last Royal Caribbean Cruise I took was 2007.
I tried a few other cruise lines, and they were just okay.
I realized for my 2016 cruise, it had to be Royal Caribbean, or nothing!
I definitely wanted to find my first ever Cruise picture,
to bring with me, on Allure of the seas!!!
I Finally found it in a box, tucked in the Garage!!!!!
Just Had to Share my excitement, once again!!!
My fellow cruise Addicts, will get it!!!

Where is the article exactly? So I can do the same thing, and print it out.We are also booked on Majesty - for 30 May 2016 - so I printed the article to carry with me just in case - usually the C&A discounts help to keep that cost manageable - usually end up spending far more on other "entertainment" expenses - so all is relative

Hi ShellyOk dumb question I know and I can hear my boys laughing at me already. What is periscoping?
It is live streaming video. In essence you can watch someone Periscoping from whatever adventure/situation that they are showing you, such as someone being on a cruise ship. You can hear, and see, in live time from the periscope. When you follow someone, it gives you notifications, when they come on to air a periscope. If you happen to miss it, does stay up for 24 hours, to playback and view.
Here is a link to check it out.
-
Welcome HayleyI downloaded Periscope yesterday just so I could watch Matt's periscopes. I don't really understand the technicalities of the app yet and have yet to watch a live one but I'm very excited to watch more and to watch some from actual ships! This sounds like a good way for me to find more!
This is a great forum to find out who is periscoping, from where. and Matt periscopes everyday sometime usually between the hours of four and nine. When you are following someone, it will notify you when they come on to periscope.
-
Yes good idea Matt.Agreed. Since we have a forum, makes sense to create a new thread for each person's planned Periscope
I think I reported some scopes that I learned about under a existing thread in the Periscope forum on main page. From now on I will create a new thread in that same forum, if I find out someone's going to scope, if they have not posted already to notify, just to help people find the scopes easier.

Your question was brought was brought up when I was on a behind the scenes tour of the Allure recently.
Here is the answer to your question according to Captain Johnny on the Allure:
The Allure will always pull up to the dock with the starboard side facing the dock. The reason for this is that the escalators used when in port are only located on the starboard side. So whenever the Allure comes into port she will spin 360 degrees and back into the dock with her starboard side against the pier.
Thank You very Much.
I wish I had known before he made the decision am booking my cabin. No matter what it will still be a Awesome Cruise. I would've asked for the starboard side. I don't think my previous Cruises, I've had a Starboard side cabin, so I have not been able to see that view. I know the view on the portside is just as beautiful, but I kind of like to be able to people watch from my balcony as well.
Thanks again.

Yes, precisely. You can deposit cash at any time and if you do it right, walk off without owing a dime.
Thank You very Much Matt. ☺ï¸
-
Yes you can
Tyvm! 😎

I understand being on a cruise is a cashless system.I am not aware of any minimum for cash deposits on Royal Caribbean. You can go to Guest Services at any point in your cruise and deposit cash, as you see fit.
If you have a credit Card on your sign and Sale Card.
And you have say like 200 of OBC, can you give them cash to add to your OBC spending amount, so they will not take from credit Card.
I am trying to be able to walk off the ship at the end of the Cruise, and not owe anything.
Thank You in Advance.

Just have a good time...
Thank You. 😎

Thank You Michael.Have a great cruise !!
Forgot to say, my balcony was on the right side of the ship, deck eleven.
I just checked my Cabin, looks like I am on the Port Side, Aft. Whatever will be my View, I will just be happy to be on Allure Of The Seas!!!
I am trying not to Drive myself, or Hubby, Crazy with the Anxiousness of having to wait until May 15th, to be on this Cruise Ship!! lol!!
-
I got an immediate confirmation from .mr. Sanchos after I paid my deposit. I would ask for one if you still haven ceived it.
Now I am worried, because I haven't received a confirmation from Mr. Sancho's. 😕 guess I will email them.
-
I wouldn't do that. They could dock either way every cruise.
Ok tyvm!!! I will just hope for the best on my Cruise. We have a Balcony, so would like to see the ports from my Cabin.
I will also just be happy when it is time for me to be on this Cruise!!!
-
I guess, if someone has been on Allure of the seas the Western Caribbean the same route, that might know what side of the ship docks on, because I may change my cabin depending on the Answer.
-
Port side is the left as you face towards the front of the ship. If you go onto the cruise planner on RCI website, you'll be able to see the plan for the deck your cabin is on and find your cabin on there too see which side it's on. Hope that helps.
So the Dock you disembark the Ships, is Always on the Port Side?
-
Hi all
This may seem like a dumb question. I am going on Allure 5-15-16. I would have to look at my cabin to see if it's on the starboard or the Port side.
We are going to to Labadee Hati, Falmouth Jamica, and Cozumel Mexico.
Is there a certain side of the ship that pulls in the ports at these locations?
And I'm really going to feel like an airhead, if I get the answer, the ship pulls in on the port side, at the ports. 😬
-
I will definitely let you know.Looks like you'll be there first. We are going May 25-26 on Empress for an overnighter. I'll be looking forward to YOUR report !
I will be starting a new thread in the General Discussion area of Royal Caribbean, making a post of my Daily Adventures.
Kind of like a blog, but not a blog.
I guess the correct area for members to write their reviews, Would go in the Royal Caribbean discussion area, with a new thread. I will be including pictures as well.

Kathy I'vr been to Sanchos twice. Yep you pay the balance when you get there. Make sure to print your confirmation letter and bring it with you when you check in at the resort. Sanchos is nice and the food is good there(especially the grilled shrimp) but honestly next time you go to Cozumel I would recommend trying Nachi Cocum. They only allow a maximum of 100 guests there and I find the food there to be a little fresher than Sanchos.
But you will enjoy Sanchos. Just next time give Nachi a try and see what you think of it :)
Chris,
Only thing I got so far, was the PayPal confirmation that I had put down a $10 deposit, is that the confirmation letter that you were talking about? Or is Mr. Shancho's actually going to send me something?
Thank You for your help.
