  1. Never got to experience this but sounds like it would have been awesome! Did these disappear after Covid?
  2. Thanks. I just deleted all previous cookies on my computer and re-logged in (in case it was a glitch with the website yesterday)…still showing no options. If there actually are reservations available at the time, is that the sort of thing concierge would help with when they reach out about a week before? We’re staying in a sky-level suite.
  3. Allure out of Galveston, Feb 5-12. Here is a screenshot of what I see when I try to get into the dining page of the cruise planner. The only option that shows up under “Specialty Dining-Dinner” is Izumi (which was already booked last week over the phone when I called them with a question about C&A numbers). I would assume other restaurants—if available—would show up in that same area? What’s odd is further up on that page there are still offers for dining plans…which seems strange if everything really is booked already as the rep said.
  4. Is anyone else on this cruise having trouble not seeing options for booking speciality dining? I spoke with an RCCL rep who told me all specialty restaurants were fully booked on our cruise already and that’s why no options appeared in the cruise planner under “dining”. I posted about this under the dining category and someone told me this was highly unlikely and possibly a technical glitch. Wanted to see if anyone else on this sailing has the same issue.
  5. Thanks, we will do that. Mostly just wanted to try Chops, but oh well. Looks like there are many no-charge options on our ship.
  6. So I just got off the phone with an RCCL representative after being frustrated that I couldn’t “see” any specialty restaurant options for my cruise in Feb (other than the offer for the UDP which we didn’t get). Many thanks to the patient commenters who gave me advice on how to try to see available reservations, but I was just told by the rep on the phone that the reason I can’t see anything is because all specialty restaurants are already booked every night of our cruise . We’re 117 days from sailing. Is this common for all reservations to fill this early? We only just booked the cruise a couple weeks ago. So bummed , I guess I need to book the next one six-plus months in advance.
  7. It wasn’t the app I was trying to use, it was RCCL’s website, but it was the mobile version on my phone. I haven’t bought a package and don’t think I will since I like to have things booked ahead of time. Maybe I’ll try the desktop version, or wait til 90 days out like WesKinetic suggested. Thanks
  8. Thanks, this is our first time staying in a suite and I was unaware of how many (or apparently how few) categories are considered to be above CLS.
  9. Do you know when you can start making individual reservations (if you don’t have a pre purchased plan)? Does your cruise need to be paid in full? Been trying to find answers online; have seen some people say 90 days out and others say 60 days…some even seem to suggest anytime after booking. At this time, I can’t seem to be able to do it on the mobile site when I pull up our reservation. We’re still 100+ days out from sailing.
  10. Ok, I booked a Crown Loft Suite on Allure, and it was directly thru RCCL website.
  11. Does the allotted time window for submitting a bid vary for each cruise? According to Cile’s timeline, they are more than 30 days out with a Nov 18 sailing. When I tried to check eligibility for our cruise, I got an error message telling me to make sure I was within 30 days of sailing before I could submit a bid.
  12. Thank you so much for all the helpful info! How do you link reservations?
  13. I am curious how other cruisers have handled the “suite and non suite guests in same party” situation. I know every family/group is different, but I’d like to hear all responses. Do those of you in suites forgo perks like priority boarding to stay with non-suite members in the terminal? Do you eat at Coastal Kitchen sometimes (or all the time) even though they can’t? Have any of you in non-suite cabins ever felt a suite-purchasing family member was inconsiderate for partaking in too many suite-only perks while traveling with you? We purchased the last CL suite on our Allure sailing, and by the time my husband decided to surprise his brother for his birthday and buy him and SIL a cabin, balcony was the highest category left. So I’d love to hear stories, advice, etc from anyone who’s experienced this situation before. Thanks!
  14. So if you don’t have a dining package and are booking specialty restaurants individually, can you do that through the app?
  15. Thank you. Do you know at the time of check in if my husband’s original card would have been saved and would appear to BIL as an option to choose, rather than add his own? Because if given the choice I think he would do that and feign ignorance later
  16. Does the credit card you use to reserve your cruise (and make subsequent payments up to final payment) get saved by Royal Caribbean to also be used as the card on file during the cruise? My husband is paying for his brother and SIL’s cabin on our upcoming cruise, but definitely does not want to also pay for their onboard expenses. Once the final payment is made on the cabin (November), will his card disappear off their reservation, or will we need to contact someone to get that done? Thanks!
  17. Do the actual prices for drink packages vary that much at different times before sailing? Or is it just different clever ways of marketing that always end up with a very similar final price?
  18. Thanks for the replies! Personally it won’t bother me if they are unable to drop in at anytime, I was just curious
  19. We are excited to be on this cruise. Last Royal Caribbean cruise was Vision in 2014. The one before that was Song of Norway in 1992! Can't wait to try Oasis-class ship
  20. Hi, newbie here. My husband and I are going on Allure in Feb and in some ways this will be like our first cruise (I've been on several, including on Royal Caribbean's "Song of Norway" back in 1992 as an 11 year old, but this is our first without my family and as the paying, responsible adults ). We booked a Crown Loft suite, and later my husband decided to add his brother and SIL as a birthday gift to them and purchased a balcony cabin. My question is: will they be able to just come directly to our cabin, or is there an access point somewhere for only people with room keys for that deck? I apologize for my ignorance, but I have read conflicting info...some say only the CK restaurant and suite lounge are key-accessed, while others say the whole floor is key-accessed. Thank you, appreciate any advice!
