OK, staying at the Hampton Inn Brickell Friday May 3rd for our May 4th Icon trip. I see it's like 2 blocks in one direction to Walgreens and 2 in the other to CVS. Which feels shorter / safer etc? Also, there seems to be 2 Publix's in opposite directions. Half reviews / research say go to one. Half say the other. Anyone want to weigh in on the pros and cons? Again, thanks to everyone for all the restaurant help and advice. It is very much appreciated.

Shareholders should vote to take less profit and increase wages to first world minimum wages. This would be a step in the right direction. You are first world passengers. The laundry workers should be paid a minimum like any first world worker who takes care of you. Those making a profit off these hard working people's backs should make the first move. Anyone?

I would think those chairs in back are for Dimond plus or handicap etc. It's good to know they aren't reserved for any one group. The seating in the aqua theater doesn't look so great for the 55 and over crowd backs. I like a little back support. Thanks.

I've read elsewhere that Royal takes a percentage for processing and handling the money. Can I prove the person's who have written that are correct? No? Royal Caribbean charging folks a fee for doing something? Hmmmmm. Sure sounds like a possibility.

As it was explained to me by senior management. There are 2 wallets associated with every account. One with your cruise payments. One with your cruise planner payments. For some reason??? My canceled cruise planner purchases were being refunded from the "wallet" they kept my cruise fare payment money in. Taking my paid in full balance, and bringing me down to still owing money just days before final payment due date. This made for nail biting days trying to get it fixed before system canceled my trip for not being paid in full by due date. (When I was paid in full) They would refund cruise planner purchases from my paid in full cruise fare money and not the money they received from credit card for each cruise planner purchase. Essentially paying me with my own money and not a refund.

Keep it. 3 soda's in a day and you break even. Plus if you get from a bar they are small glasses full of ice. You will want to freshen your drink often. With package you don't even think about cost. Making changes to cruise planner purchases this late in the game can come at an unexpected cost. Not worth it over $8 or $9 per day.

OK, a warning to all. I would love to cancel my soda package and rebook on sale today, but I don't dare. Not worth the headache. We canceled several items over the past year and since rebooked several. The problem was Royals wonderful system refunded us the charges out of our PAID IN FULL cruise balance and not out of there own money they maid off the individual purchases. Putting us in the red just before final balance due in full or you will be canceled and we will resell your cabin at four times the price time. This is for Icon that we booked day one of booking 2 years ago at 1/4th the current price. (Some coincidence huh??) Anyway, it took 5 days and a total of 6 hours to get someone to straighten it out. I out and out asked for OBC and got $50 for my troubles. Believe me, it wasn't enough for what went through. Point is....be very careful when canceling and rebooking add ons like drink packages etc for better price, when there is a sale. Continue to check your balance for paid in full. Both in app and website. We went from paid in full to owing over $600 days before final payment due date. All because Royal Caribbean refunded our paid by credit card add ons, with our own money and not the money the cards paid them. Check your balances constantly. And think twice about canceling and rebooking something to save a few dollars. It can go so horribly wrong it's ridiculous.

Too often if you're not praising Royal Caribbean endlessly like a sycophant the response can be negative in the beginning. Our bad. It happens because of folks who come to complain but never come back to read helpful replies or answer follow up questions for additional help. That's our bad on this end. Stick around and see what advice for getting the best price etc you can get and other help. Come to vent, but stay for the help.

I've never noticed a pool not operational in port. Unless there was some unexpected emergency maintenance. Plenty of folks stay onboard to use less crowded facilities on port days.

I'd say Chops. A quality cut of beef and a baked potato is classic and never gets old.

Spent the evening on a conference call about my mother in laws hospice care talking weeks vs months to live. Life is about the journey and making memories. Go enjoy it as much as you can. It's over in the blink of an eye. Have a wonderful time!

Just wondering who's is coming in the day before and where are you staying? We will be arriving on Friday May 3rd and staying at Hampton inn Miami Brickell. Booked almost a year ago and got a rate less than half the current going price.
