  1. Nope never touched it. But like I said the rest of the ship felt warm. The only spot that was super cold was the back part of the Windjammer and I think they would of frowned apon me sleeping there. I even brought a little portable fan and it didn't help much
  2. Just got off the Allure and had a great time. I was on the Symphony last September and also had a great time. Has anyone noticed in the past few years that it seems like they don't keep the ships as cool as they use to? Even in my cabin I use to keep it all the way down and wake up feeling nice and snug under the covers and comforter. The past two cruises all I slept with the sheet and still felt warm every night. Even in public area's that use to be cold in some spots, like the theater aren't kept cool like they use to. I don't know if it has to do with their AC filter system pulling out more of the germs out of the air to make it cleaner or what it is. Interested to hear your thoughts.
  3. Last September on the Symphony I had quite a few things happen. First we were at Izumi's and we asked if they had Yummy Yummy sauce to the waitress, most places have it at their Hibachi. She went in the back and came back with sauce that one of the cooks made by looking the recipe on his phone, made the meal so much better. Next we had Jamie's booked before we board, but till it was coming up on the night realized that was the 2nd formal night in the dinning room, which means that was lobster night and would miss it. Was a little bummed, the waiter always asked if he would see us the next night, but told him we would be going to Jamie's and bummed we were missing lobster night. We are sitting there our apps come that we ordered and then our main dish comes out. A few minutes later our waiter comes back with 4 lobster tails and said the head waiter sent these up for us. I cut it up and put some in my pasta dish, so awesome. Just like Matt has said in his video's if you watch, just ask crew for whatever you see fit that might not be too out of bounds and they try to do what they can for you. With that being said we threw some extra cash to the people that went above and beyond for us
  4. If price is the factor you can't go wrong with Oasis. The Oasis class has many things to offer and can't go wrong with trying Oasis. I will be on the Allure next week after not being on her in 10 years. Read that people saying lots of wear and tear, but that's what is suspected since it couldn't get dry docked, but that will not slow or ruin my cruise. I am there for time off work, time with my parents, drinks, drinks and the nice stops in the Caribbean!!! I also just booked Wonder this week for next April so I am excited to get the opportunity to get on a newer ship. But I wouldn't fuss on any ship since I love cruising!! To me it's more about the ports for me now. Allure is going to ports I haven't been to yet, so I am excited to see new places. I like the Eastern and Southern side more then the Western side of the Caribbean.
  5. I will give it a shot. If it doesn't work then its fine. I know I have some on bard credit with booking with her, but never hurts to have more
  6. Thank you. Is there a way to call Royal myself or should I just ask my TA to apply it?
  7. Do you have to redeem and have it applied within a certain amount of time before your sailing? I tried on my last cruise and my TA told me that she couldn't apply it but forget the reason why. Or can I call Royal and do it myself for sailings coming up?
  8. On the app you can show your seapass card till you get you actual one in your cabin or just tell them your cabin number
  9. Before is always cheaper. You will get one day for free being a Diamond
  10. That cabin looks amazing and nice win on the video poker!! On your adventures around the ship when going by On Air let me know if they have any of the college football games on Saturday. Will be on board on the 17th and Allure doesn't have a Playmakers, but heard they show the games in On Air. Hope the rest of your cruise is amazing!!
  11. That is the number I called that I got from my TA. And they said someone was booked into my cabin and then cancelled. I confirmed with my TA and she said that is not true, so wondering why they told me that. I will go and ask when I board in 12 days to see what they tell me. I am trying to get to Diamond before my Alaska cruise next year
  12. I did, it didn't show anyone. I might go say something when I board in 12 days!!!
  13. I was on Symphony last Sept. and it was pretty solid, but also less people on board. Going on Allure in 12 days, heard it isn't that great, but I will report back. Soon we won't have to worry when they get Starlink on the ships by next April
  14. I just found it strange that the agent told me it shows someone was booked in your cabin and then canceled, because that is untrue. Unless someone is coming as a "surprise" that I don't know about and that's what she had in notes to say to me
  15. I have the original invoice from the travel agent. Should I bring that?
  16. So I will be going on the Allure soon and have my own cabin. I heard Matt talk about getting double points when cruising solo. So I called Royal Caribbean to ask for this sailing and she looked up my reservation and said that you can't be in a studio, which I'm in a CP balcony. She also said it has to be booked as a solo, but when she looked said someone was booked in my room and then removed, which is not the case. I am linked with others on my reservation for my cruise, so maybe that's what she is seeing. Do you think when I get on board should I ask again?
  17. I mean they wouldn't really have time do do that unless it was dry docked and it missed that opportunity with COVID
  18. Didn't think so of some of the video reviews I found on youtube. Thank you
  19. I know it never got AMPed, so I was just wondering if the Allure cabins have USB ports or just power outlets?
  20. Also if someone can answer how is the Snuba there? This water clear and lots of fish to see?
  21. On the reservation that I have to do Snuba in De Palm in Aruba it recommends water shoes. Does anyone seem to think this is needed? I guess the beach is pretty shelly/rocky and I have have super soft feet and wonder if I should buy them or not waste my money. Thank you for your responses
  22. Thanks for all the feedback. We were talking about getting off and just looking for a taxi to drive us around. We don't want any beach area, just see the island and learn the history would be nice. Maybe stop somewhere and have a drink and some food.
  23. One thing that I love about cruise staff is they are appreciate any extra money you hand them. A lot of their money they earn they send home. But when you tip them cash they usually save that and when in port and they get out they can go out and buy snacks, or gifts for their families back home, so they are usually grateful. If you tip the right person like a bartender that makes you a drink they will remember you and make you a really nice drink the next time you come up and even remember what you drink.
  24. The stops are nice for the AOS. All those islands i really enjoyed, but I do like the Oasis class ships. I've been on the Adventure, but has been a long time, but I liked the ship. If you pick that one, in St. John try to make it to Trunk Bay. One of the top 10 beaches in the world and you can snorkel. It is national park, so the water is nice and no boats are allowed in the inlet. Can't go wrong with either pick
