  1. This is kind of how I imagine it'll be when you get off and then get right back on the ship.
  2. Might be worth double checking launch windows. While there might not be a launch scheduled for the day you're there, but launch scrubs/reschedules are not entirely uncommon. Perhaps a launch will be scrubbed and rescheduled for the day you'll be there. I'm still planning my first cruise, so I can completely understand your concerns. However, I don't entirely share your concerns for this particular port since I live in the county.
  3. Kennedy Space Center and the Astronaut Hall of Fame are quite fascinating. Can't speak much on travel to/from the pier as I live in the county.
  4. Depending on how much time you have, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is rather interesting if science is your jam. The Astronaut Hall of Fame is right down the road from KSC as well. Also, check out Spaceflightnow's launch schedule. Maybe you'll get lucky and get to watch a launch up close.
  5. Do you have to do the covid testing all over again or is a b2b considered an extension of the original cruise in that regard?
  6. Are you going to bother to disembark?
  7. Planning on my first cruise with my fiance hopefully sometime in 2023. Probably the Coco Cay - Cozumel - Port Canaveral route.
  8. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and Astronaut Hall of Fame are about 20 min away if you need something to do. Not sure how long your ships will be in port though. There's also a place or 2 on the far end of the port to grab something to eat/drink as well.
  9. Keep in mind that Port Canaveral and Orlando are 2 different things. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is about 20 minutes away as is the Astronaut Hall of Fame.
  10. I've tried to answer the question for myself as to whether or not smoking is permitted on the floating cabanas at Coco Cay. Everything I've found seems to be "Smoking In Designated Areas". Yeah, I get that, but I'm trying to find out if those expensive floating cabanas are included. Not a huge deal if they're not, but I'd like to find something that definitely states whether it is or is not permitted.
  11. We haven't settled on a particular ship/itinerary yet. As far as the connecting door, that can either be closed/unsecured or left open (unless we wanted some adult time).
  12. My fiance & I are discussing a cruise with the 2 of us, and her 2 children (13 and 5). Connecting staterooms is the most practical, but the question we have is: do the doors have a child lock (not unlike the backseat of cars) so we wouldn't have to worry about the youngest deciding to go solo exploring in the middle of the night?
  13. I'm curious as to whether or not it's worth just walking there from the pier rather than taking a taxi.
  14. Sounds like I'll be better off waiting until I'm at a bar in Cozumel.
  15. It's my understanding that some Royal Caribbean ships have cigar lounges. That being said, are they BYO or do they have a selection for sale? What's the selection like?
  16. Son: Dad, what's a forklift? Dad: Food
  17. I wish I could cite the source of this (I forgot who said it), but "I would rather someone know I pooped than know what my poop smells like". The more I think about room fragrances, the less I'm concerned with it. I've never had any issue in a hotel.
  18. My fiance & I are planning on taking our first cruise sometime in the next year or so. I've been watching videos to get an idea of what to pack, expect and what not. But there's one thing I'm having trouble sorting out: Bathroom spray. I'm trying to find something that is hypoallergenic but I'm not sure what product to pick. Can anyone reccomend anything specific? Also, if I request no fragrances/air freshener type products be used in our stateroom, is that a request that I can expect the cruise line to happily comply with? Backstory: I've had allergic reactions to several household products such as air fresheners, some soaps/body washes, detergents, etc) ranging from sneezing uncontrollably for hours on end to severe skin reactions. As a result, I almost have a phobia when it comes to frangrances.
