  1. Ooh, no responses yet. Does this mean we'll have the whole ship to ourselves?! Hopefully others we'll hop on and join in. 68 days to go and we can't wait! Thankfully, my 16 year old and I will be boarding Vision in about 35 hours for a 9 day cruise break so that should tide me over...a little.
  2. Before you cancel anything, I would add the items you think might be cheaper to your cart and check the total against what you've already paid. The "sale" prices don't always math the way we might think they would math. I used to get excited then would see that there was no difference in cost. The only difference was in the wording they used to advertise.
  3. You can still go in and bid. Click where the arrow is pointed and you'll go back to the page with your choices. Good Luck!
  4. Had the door hangers on Mariner last Aug. out in the open but I have seen them in drawers before as another poster mentioned.
  5. Hi! 13 days until our VOTS and I really can't wait! Does anyone know if the sea pass cards on Vision are hole punchable? We like to use retractable pass clips when we can and I know the older ship cards are usually ok but wanted to make sure. Thanks!
  6. All the sudden, it feels like it's coming fast! We'll be staying at the hotel right across from the port the night before so my hubs doesn't have to fight commuter traffic on the way home from dropping us off. We got an 11am boarding time so hoping to get there early enough to be one of the first 50 on the ship, hahahaha. Think we can do it?
  7. I assume you would just need to call to substitute and also to see what the ship has available to switch it with. I have been eyeing that bag. If you end up getting it (or if anyone else has gotten it), I would love to know if it's worth it.
  8. I read on another forum that Royal Up was having issues. It's now been fixed. I went and checked and the link is back on my account page.
  9. Here is a screen shot of our confirmation email for our upcoming Oct. cruise. I don't recall a super long wait but we were off the ship by 8am with a whole bunch of other early birds. We always schedule our flights for a little later in the afternoon though which proved to be a good thing since last time it turned out there was supposed to be a launch and traffic was crazy. We now look to see if there are any launches scheduled ahead of time. lol
  10. Hmmm. Maybe it's just a glitch? I just went the email route and got through. In an attempt to carry on the work of those who have come before me, I'm on a mission to try and figure out if there are any patterns whatsoever but so far it's proving to be a fruitless endeavor. lol
  11. So, I still haven't gotten a "too bad, so sad" email yet but I did find, if I go to the confirmation email from when I made the bid and click the link to see status or modify, it brings me to the status page that disappeared from my account. Says it's still submitted so it must be that they removed it because bidding was shut down. As of a few days ago, the cruise was sold out so that makes sense.
  12. We've used GoPort on our last 3 cruises out of PC. Both the just the shuttle option and the fly, sleep, cruise (or something to that effect) package and were happy with both. I've had good experiences with GoPort's customer service as well. Ride share can be fairly pricey but if you want to get to the port early thats your best bet since the GoPort shuttle starts its rounds between 8-9am and stops at several hotels before heading to the port. Its perfect if you get a later boarding time though. We've decided that we prefer to Uber on the way to PC and use GoPort to get back to the airport. It just depends on what your priorities are. Hope that helps!
  13. Bummer Okie! I guess I will keep an eye out for one of those too. Enjoy your vacation!!!!
  14. This just happened for us at 22 days out. No more link to bid status. @Jdavid, what was your outcome? I'm not holding out for success, but I am curious how it works. Hope you enjoyed your cruise either way!
  15. I'm cruising for my 50th in October. I may have to decorate too! Happy Birthday!
  16. It doesn't sound like you have a travel advisor or you may have known your options sooner. They don't cost anything. You may want to consider finding a good one for the future. I think @Ampurp85 pretty much nailed it. A travel advisor may have let you know that if you didn't have the passport by at least 5 days prior that it would be best to rebook and eat the change fees (or if it was a US Port Closed Loop that you could just go the DL/BC route). Then you would have only been out a couple hundred instead of a few thousand (or be headed to the port). We are finally going on a cruise this October that we booked 2 years ago for a June 2022 sailing because we had to lift and shift 3 times due to Covid and other unavoidable conflicts. We have a TA and were fully informed upfront about our options and the consequences, supplemented by the wise folks on this very forum who set me straight when I got confused about what the TA advised . It sucks to pay more for our trip, especially when we got a really good price but we didn't lose anything, we just paid extra for the convenience of flexibility. For those that might be following for passport info, the processing time is exactly as long as it states and you will definitely want to plan for two or more weeks beyond the stated processing window to be on the safe side. We applied for both our kids the 2nd week of April, they were received by the agency on April 19th (thats when you start counting processing time). I checked the status tracker on the agency site weekly and it finally went from processing to approved on July 1. We got them today. So it took 11 weeks and 1 day for non-expedited with the current 10-13 week window. Back in Feb of 2022, my husband and I applied and had ours in hand within 5 weeks. Playing it safe I booked my sons birthday cruise for the first week in August so now we have 27 days of worry free but anxious anticipation leading up to embarkation.
