  1. Go to the weather channel and see. google weather patterns Galveston.
  2. This will depend on whether you have a suite or not. Suites include more. Here is a link... https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/cruise-vacation-price
  3. Send them a receipt of proof of purchase. If you dont have it, locate on google where you purchased it and take a snap shot and send it in. Royal already has the logged items, I see no problem with this. You will get your money back.
  4. Finally some real news on this. So that have made changes to the lobster ....
  5. Ill be on Odyssey in a few days. You cant get multiple repeats anymore. $16.99 per tail now extra. One of your pics , the tail looks undercooked with a blueish fringe. Not a huge fan anyway. Just not even close to a fresh Maine or Canadian lobster. Bring on Alaskan King Crab legs!!! now thats a treat!
  6. Lucky you. I cant wait to try that ship. From all the reviews I have been reading, you are in for a real treat. I wish Royal would step up their game the same way. Coastal Kitchen needs an improvement. But you are in a ship with fewer passengers and the cruise will cost more in comparison. You get what you pay for I suppose.
  7. Ok, so crew members rely on tips to supplement low wages. To forego auto tipping is lowering the pool of funds. That amount is probably minuscule. I chose to tip cash amounts to people who serve me directly. The real punishment comes from the corporation who choses to pay those low wages to begin with. I hope one day Royal makes the decision to pay them more and a "no tipping rule" implemented. This is common on luxury all inclusive land resorts and luxury brand cruise ships.
  8. Well there you go. $16.99 seems to be the extra charge for another teeny weeny tail.
  9. to zoom in on a private balcony....is this legal? I will ask the captain next meet and greet.
  10. Yes. The Canadian Cascade Arc, also called the Canadian Cascades, is the Canadian segment of the North American Cascade Volcanic Arc. Located entirely within the Canadian province of British Columbia, it extends from the Cascade Mountains in the south to the Coast Mountains in the north.
  11. The most important thing to know is that if youā€™re booked on a shipā€™s excursion, the cruise ship will always wait for you. Tours are scheduled to arrive back with plenty of time, but traffic, medical emergencies, or other unexpected events can cause the tour busses to arrive back late. Cruise lines convince passengers to take their tours instead of independent ones by promising to never leave passengers behind. So they will always wait for the last tour bus to arrive before setting sail. It is always up to the captain in very rare circumstances to make a final call to leave the port., leaving passengers behind.
  12. China? With all the new/media/hype on China, I beg to think not
  13. When you think how can cruise builders construct anything larger than Wonder, Icon and Utopia, take a look at whats coming!
  14. So thats why there is so little info. I suppose its a similar framework ? Is the data Wonder or Utopia.?
  15. Just curious as to the real designated class of ships Royal has come up with. Are these now labeled Oasis Plus class? Or something else?
  16. Here is some data from Cruise Mapper....... https://www.cruisemapper.com/ships/Utopia-Of-The-Seas-2180
  17. Thats great and welcome aboard! I have cruised many times out of NJ at Bayonne port. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them. If you can Uber from your home to Bayonne, that is a huge savings on parking fees!
  18. I have been to Jamaica dozens of times. Snorkelling is not the best activity , but there are a few good spots such as Doctors Cave. near Montego Bay.. The excursions will be packed and not worth it. Ill be going to Falmouth 3 times in the next 4 weeks. If you want to snorkel , bring your own mask, and go to either a public beach or go to a resort for a day, snorkel from shore. Plus Im sure there are smaller crafts that can take you out for an hour or so, at a much lesser cost.
  19. I think a lot of global brands are going through the same thing. Nothing new, as its a new world if you haven't noticed. Lack of staff, training , cost cutting measures, etc is happening all over the place. Not just cruise ships. If people give enough feedback, things might change. Every call I make I can leave an instant review of my call. To be honest, I dont experience this much, as I book direct through the casino line Club Royale and service is usually immediate. If I were to use the main phone customer service line, I would call as soon as they open or very late at night. Calling a peak business hours , there is sure to be a wait. And you can always send an email.
  20. I have never used a travel agent for all my cruises and I am diamond +. I am a gambler and a rated member/player with Club Royale. So up to now I have been booking all my cruises direct through Club Royale special designated phone lines, as well as Air2Sea. So I have been reading posts about people waiting on hold through busy times up to 90 minutes trying to connect with a customer rep. This may have happened to me I think maybe once in the last 5 years . Having thinking this through, I would like to know if I could designate a travel agent to take care of my comped cruises and flights . Has anybody done this or must you book direct? Further, I could forward all my email invites for comped cruises to them to take care of it all. Prior to the pandemic I had a designated host from Club Royal to book my cruises...that has stopped. Looking at recent offers I can book a cruise numerous times almost every month of the year.
  21. Please provide the policy and or fine print on that.
  22. This is true, but if your cabin is forward closer to the bridge , you might get caught. Years ago my wife got caught sneaking a puff on the balcony. An officer knocked on our door with a warning, and that was the end of that. Now if were something else?..... I dunno. Maybe they take their binoculars out and enjoy the show?
  23. I have not witnessed this, but as a gambler I will wager $1,000 that this is real. On every single cruise.
