One time pre pandemic we were booked in a balcony and decided to see if we could pay the difference to "upgrade" to a suite, RC at that time said yes (no fuss, or stress just dollars lots of them). Not sure about nowadays, however since that point we now try the bidding game, and we are running about 50%/50%. It is fun, checking the room online and checking the CC to see if I have been charged or not.

Question About Testing Covid
not easy being green replied to not easy being green's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Going back to my original question is the Rapid Diagnostic Test (ID NOW) that is done in a pharmacy with the pharmacist an acceptable test? This is the pharmacy that is 50 miles closer to home. I would not want to do one without a pharmacist and or a doctor. Thank you for all the helpful information -
Where we live, it is hard to find a place to get the "pre test" for our cruise. Walgreens offers 1 test near us (about 35 miles away), another one is about 60 miles away. The two tests are Rapid Diagnostic Test (ID NOW) and Rapid Antigen Test (BinaxNOW), do either of these test work for RC? Looking at the page they both should work because they are done at the pharmacy and made by Abbot. From RC More on Abbott Brand Tests We get a lot of questions about Abbott tests, the most commonly available COVID-19 test brand. Here’s what’s accepted. Any Abbott brand test administered on site by a pharmacy technician or other health professional is accepted. This includes the common Abbot ID NOW test administered by many pharmacies. The test provider must provide you with a proper results document (no handwritten notes). The Abbott BinaxNow COVID-19 Ag Card Test, which is taken at home and supervised by a telemedicine professional, is accepted. It must be taken under live video supervision. Learn more about our Abbott telehealth home test kit. The Abbott BinaxNow COVID-19 Antigen Self-Test, if taken at home and not supervised by a telehealth representative, is NOT accepted. Thank you again in advance

Hi, wondering if anyone can point me to the correct place to look for what you can do on the ship being vaccinated and the areas that open to everyone? I know that the casino is supposed to be for vaccinated only and I think a few other places like the Schooner Bar? Also what about specialty restaurants? I understand and know that everything is in flux, and might change at the drop of a hat. Thanks in advance

Would you fly or drive?
not easy being green replied to WannaCruise's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
My suggestion would be if flying leave a day early, we had to fly (not for a cruise...bummer) and our plane was delayed for over 2 days during the latest AA melt down with flights. However, it is getting to be the colder months and you may hit wintery conditions and that could make your car driving a "trip and a half". You would also have to pay for parking during the cruise and that could be $$. My overall pick getting closer to the holidays is to drive, 10 hours is not that bad -
Early spring 2022 we have an Alaskan cruise that includes a pre tour, my question is when it is time to check in what time do you try and get or do you automatically get to board once the per tour is over? Do your recommend getting the Key? I realize that this is a bit in the future, it seems like time really flies and the more you know the better prepared you can be.

With the Royal up, can you go from an inside room to a suite or can you only go one level up. At one time I read that it was just one category, not sure if this has or has not changed. Thank you
