I don’t know about Tauranga New Zealand thought?? Tauranga is major shipping port and may have ship LNG in the near future. So Icon is a possibility?? Sydney October to March,Singapore and Shanghai the rest of the year.

No Ship LNG on the east coast. The only Ship LNG in our neighbourhood I believe is Port headland (west coast) ,Singapore and Shanghai. It’s possible in the future Gladstone (central Queensland) but I doubt they would build facilities for one ship so no icon class in Asia Pacific.

If you are going to book anything for trans pacific,make sure it’s refundable. I have feeling the Ovation and Quantum passengers trans pacific will be canceled . That would work pretty good but It’s 3 seasons away ,24-25 season . I think we might get oasis or Allure before then as a trial.

It probably won’t be a elaborate as CocoCay but as you said for the investment there will be a ship here year round. But one big problem I can see is the vaccination rate in vanuatu. It’s pretty low .

Wasn’t Allure doing short cruises out of Fort Lauderdale after Galveston? I think a oasis might be a bit of wishful thinking but how about enchantment in Auckland?

I doubt NZ and the islands will be on deck but they won’t redo the season and risk all the bookings they have. They will just cancel the longer cruises around NZ and the islands and do a couple of coastal cruises.

Apparently we will have a official announcement on Wednesday that the cruise ban will be lifted on 17th April.

Australia doesn’t have ship LNG and there’s no plans of a LNG ship fuel supply. I agree with a oasis,when things pick up and Spectrum goes back to Hong Kong .We will need another big ship in our region. I’m thinking allure in Sydney October-April and reposition to Singapore May-September.

Michael Baley said about a year ago the the Galveston terminal will be built to accommodate Icon class. There’s LNG there but if Harmony is there would there be the market? They could use barges to fuel wonder if it home ported somewhere else. I believe there’s a couple on the eastcoast but from what understand they are pretty busy.

The way Royal has been switching and cancelling ships anything is possible. Take icon into equation , from what I understand it will be in service the third quarter of next year. The most likely place is Port Canaveral because of the fuel supply. So it’s not impossible for Royal switch Allure for Icon.

Interesting you asked that. The commercial shipping schedules for Sydney like crew centre ,cruise dig have wiped the 23-24 season .No Royal Caribbean ships are scheduled for Sydney. All the other brands are there ,all the carnival group,also including Celebrity edge ,silverseas,Azamara. But no RCCL Sydney port authority has been down for 2 years,so it’s a bit hard to confirm anything. I think it all hinges on Spectrum. If spectrum goes back to Hong Kong,what replaces it in Singapore? Ovation ? My thoughts are a oasis class in Sydney and it will go to Singapore in our winter.Then the 2 Quantum class will then go to Alaska. Also another thing to think about is the US market is saturated with big ships and then comes Icon to bump Allure out of port Canaveral.

There’s a article on Singapore cruise society that none Australians can get the double points . They have to create a Australian address and pay in $AU ,I suppose book it through a Oz agent.

Well , I’m sorry to here that . Its hard to keep up with the constant changes but I got it on a January 2023 cruise.
