  1. This is correct no glass elevators. The good thing is the way they have implemented them is that they are way quicker than the other ships. (and no buttons for the younglings to select every floor)
  2. In Bermuda when docked there was no "curfew" and you could come and go as you like. Cabo is a tender port so I'm not sure if this still applies. Hopefully someone will jump in as I would be interested as well.
  3. Deck 5 midship (starboard side) next to the 1400 lobby bar
  4. Agree would be nice not to have to submit to the airlines all the time
  5. Had a balcony room on deck 14 and there was not a clothesline. Shower is rectangular however and there were a couple hooks within the shower opposite the shower head.
  6. Another thing to do is to get the flySEA app for your phone. It's the airport app and you can use it to find out the wait times of the security lines, which lines work for clear, TSA precheck or general and you can even get a reservation through the SEA spot saver program. There are 5 security checkpoints and all of them access the entire airport.
  7. We were able to book and attend all the shows with an 8:00 dining time without issue.
  8. Also not every venue can make blended drinks. May have to search out a place at night if you are looking for one of those.
  9. Try emailing them. I sent them a note on 2/15 about the 1/27 cruise after seeing my points posted but not my wife's. Received an email the next day....all fixed.
  10. Indeed really looking forward to having another option. It's also our favorite class ship so far.
  11. I think the performance of the stock price and financial statements over the past year and a half agree with this as well
  12. Yes saw that the deck 7 pool was open when we were in port. Not sure what the hours were but pretty sure they are listed in the cruise compass. Have Fun!
  13. I received mine in a week, had to email C&A for my wife's to show up.
  14. I guess the question would be how you differentiate between the new tier and the existing tiers and make it something to attain. There are meaningful things between the tiers to some people like the welcome gifts, free drinks, internet...would this be the same for another tier? I'm sure RCI could come up with something, but is it a business driver? Maybe Pinnacle should be lower but post pandemic there are a lot more pinnacles than they could have planned for. Lots of people with a stack of credit, the lower cruise prices and double points were able to move up the tiers. I got 28 points for a one-week cruise in which I was able to get a suite cheaper post pandemic than the balcony I originally booked (would have been 7) and still had money left over.
  15. My experience for Icon at Terminal A was arrival at 12:30 by uber, no backup at the U-turn. Had some people directing traffic and let us out at post 4. Gave our bags to a porter and went to entry for the Terminal. We had Express and even with getting a photo before the escalator, we were on deck 5 in 14 minutes.
  16. Too much movement happened on night 6 of the Inaugural as well. Water splashing out of the pool and the aerial bag swinging across the pool. Recommend reserving earlier in the cruise instead of day 6
  17. I actually used dayuse for the first time a couple weeks ago in Miami and it went very well (thanks @Matt). I booked a week in advance and had several options. Everything was in order at check-in and I was also recognized by the hotel with my hotel status even though I didn't provide that info to day use...unexpected benefit. Just make sure that you read the amenities details for the properties you are considering. Some may unavailable or closed like the pool or fitness center or airport shuttle.
  18. Page 29 of the Icon Cruise Compass posted for Jan 27 has all of the shows, times and venues for the week to give you an idea Icon of the Seas 7-night Perfect Day Cruise Compass - January 27, 2024 | Royal Caribbean Blog
  19. There was a second show in Absolute Zero called Once Upon a Time, The King's Royal Ball during the inaugural. It was only on Day 6 with 3 different showings. Was not reservable.
  20. Yep didn't remember the menu themes, but when I saw formal I thought I would just throw out the dress code days for everyone.
  21. FYI Here are what the dress codes were Day 1 was Casual Day 2 was formal "Dress your best" Day 3 was Casual Day 4 was caribbean Day 5 was white attire Day 6 was formal "Dress your best" Day 7 was Coco Casual
  22. Pearl Cafe uses starbucks. Also the Rye and Bean on Deck 15 has the specialty coffee. Did not have the drink package so can't speak to that.
  23. Booking opened for us on 1/10 for 1/27 ailing for some things, others the week before. I actually booked some on the website since they were not showing up on the app. Just keep checking. You might also visit the roll call for your cruise and see if someone throws up a flare when it opens. I did not go to the empire supper club Beer on tap is always a challenge for me, never enough selections even in the pub. I think in Playmakers there was maybe 5, unclear if the menu exactly matched what they had. They did have a Lagunitas IPA on tap I had when I was there. I visited your room class and I would call it a bigger room with a window. The room I saw had the bed closer to the window than the couch, I think you would get a bigger feel if you have a room with the couch closer to the window. It was nice perk to see what would show up every day. I know people on week 2 are getting things as well but have no clue about future plans.
